The Army isnât waiting for the return of the JEDI. With the Defense Departmentâs Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud contract remaining in limbo amid legal challenges, the Army has taken several steps in recent weeks to move its cloud ambitions ahead.
The serviceâs Enterprise Cloud Management Agency recently released two different requests for information related to its cloud program. One indicates that the Army is looking for help to modernize and migrate applications to its enterprise cloud environment, known as cARMY. The other reveals the Army is looking for a cloud-native, enterprisewide data management platform and related managed services.
