On august 16 when police say these three suspects and up to two more in a getaway vehicle stole 1. 8 million from the vault inside this fortified Armored Car Company office which is ringed with more than a dozen security cameras. With an estimated 20 million inside. This exterior wall is freshly patched to cover the hole where the thieves went in. Police say the suspects used a sledgehammer and hydraulic jacke through the wall and other tools to break into the vault. This was a very brazen sophisticated burglary. Reporter police say this heist was a professional job interrupted by an alert Nassau County officer on patrol. On the Surveillance Video you see the officer arrive. The officer said he knew something was up when he spied a Volkswagen Jetta with its trunk open. Police say he noticed 53year old he had guard medina edgar medina and chased him. Followed and caught the individual and recovered 1. 8 million in the trunk of his car. Reporter Police Called medina a career criminal with 10 prior arrests including for weapons possession. Medina is charged with burglary, grand larceny and possession of burglary tools. Police are searching for the man behind an attack in brooklyn. Investigators say the suspect seen here chased a mother of two right to her front door. The terrified woman spoke to cbs 2s hazel sanchez. She joins us live from bensonhurst with more. Hazel. But the victim tells us that she wanted to bring attention to her violent attacker in hopes of helping police catch him because she says the man threatened to come back and now she fears for her life. Police are looking another longhaired man who they say attempted to rape a bensonhurst woman in front of her home. The victims own surveillance camera captured video of the attacker chasing her up to the [ nonenglish language ] reporter she is afraid, tells us. Were protecting her identity. Attack happened around 2 30 a. M. On wednesday, august 5. The victim was walking home from her bakery job when the suspect jumped her on 19th avenue near 74th street and forcibly kissed her neck. Flanagan was fired from the station 2. 5 years ago. Back in 2013, for poor performance and conflicts with employees he was fired. He was placed on a final warning in december 2012 for failure to check his facts in a news story and generally for reporter according to an internal station memo that was part of a lawsuit by flanagan against the station, officers had to physically lift him from the chair. Dan denison was news director of wdbj at the time. When we terminated him i can tell you that he was probably the toughest termination we ever had or that i was ever involved in. The devastating morning for three families in plainfield, new jersey, as fire ripped through their homes. Cell phone video captured firefighters arriving to a house fully engulfed in flames.
