And this morning her neighbors are describing the effort inside that freddy Grocery Store to save her life in the aftermath of this shooting. Police say the gunman entered the store around 9 00 last night. A neighbor came upon the scene a few minutes later, found the store clerk holding her neck bleeding profusely and the gunman was gone. Police say it appears this was some sort of robbery attempt because the Cash Register was open. And one neighbor we just spoke with whos a former paramedic said she ran into that store, saw the victim bleeding out and did what she could to help. All i can do was apply direct pressure, scream for somebody to get me a towel, something. With my other hand i called 911. Everybody on this block watch out for her. So if whoever needed something so badly, all they had to do was ask her. But to do this, this is ugly, this is ignorant. This is unnecessary. I dont understand it. Reporter neighbors tell me that the store owner was a longtime fixture in this mantua neighborhood. Shes owned the store for years, always willing to help providing food to those who need it. Right now she remains in the hospital. Detectives meantime working to track down some Surveillance Video from inside that store. And theyre asking for help from the public to call their tip line. At least 14 shell casings were scattered on the ground. Police have not said yet if the two women are related or if they were targeted. The neighbors knew the 58yearold woman who died, said she was a beautiful spirit. She was walking toward her house, going in her house. And then pow, pow, pow. Anybody that needs a dollar or you need a ride as she was driving and she was just a kind person. The block has four surveillance cameras. Police tell us they will look at them to hopefully find some leads in the case. Crews are working to repair power lines after a car crashed into a utility pole and set it on fire in camden county. This happened just before 1 00 this morning on route 30 in berlin. About 15 customers in the area lost electricity. And weve just learned the driver was able to get herself out of the car. She was treated for minor injuries and police are looking into whether or not she was intoxicated. A student with special needs in delaware says hes afraid to go back to school after this fight broke out. Take a look. The boys mother says her son was attacked. Hes the one sitting on the ground there. This happened tuesday in the cafeteria at Caesar Rodney high school. She says the two boys got into an argument and the argument seemed to be over but then the other boy started attacking her son. The other student was charged with offensive touching. The mother says she wants answers from the district about whether that student will be suspended or expelled. I wonder how they would feel if they see their son getting punched and kicked like that. The womans son was suspended for using foul language during the argument before the fight. Today, Vice President mike pence will fly to las vegas to pay his respects to the victims of the mass shooting. Hell take part in a unity prayer walk and then speak right after it. Organizers plan to release a flock of doves after pences speech to commemorate each of the 58 victims killed in the sunday night rampage on the las vegas strip. We are learning new information about the gambling habits of the las vegas shooter. The irs reports Stephen Paddock won 5 million in 2015 alone. He was known for betting big on video poker. Investigators say he was methodical and observant. The motive behind last sundays massacre is still not known. The schools administrator has family on the island and also owns a towing company and says she contacted a Maritime Shipping Company to get those supplies to areas in need. And in Northern Liberty it was a night of music and dancing to benefit the hurricane victims. People offered donations during the salsa night. Dozens of local organizations have been raising money for puerto rico over the last two weeks. Last night they told the crowd theyve collected over 100,000 so far. Were learning more about a foiled terror plot targeting times square, the subway system and concert venues in new york city. It happened last year, but investigators just released information about it. One person from canada who was arrested in new jersey bought bomb making materials. Hes already pleaded guilty. Prosecutors waited until yesterday to announce his arrest and two others because they wanted to make sure nobody else was involved. They say the plot was inspired by isis. Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is now on leave from his company as it investigates allegations of Sexual Harassment. Harvey weinstein is taking an indefinite leave of absence to undergo therapy. The New York Times reported weinstein reached at least eight legal settlements with women over alleged harassment. One of his accusers is actress ashley judd. The showers that are to our northwest, those will miss us completely today, but this system wont. Thats a cold front that is going to inch toward us for tomorrow with some showers. Thats tomorrow. On and off showers. Then theres nate. Nate is category 1 hurricane strengthened to hurricane overnight. And now it continues to strengthen. And its making a beeline toward the gulf coast. It looks like its going to make landfall just east of new orleans into mississippi, alabama and the panhandle. And theres a lot of wind on the east side of this storm. So theres going to be potential for tremendous damage as nate makes landfall late this evening. Winds are up to 85 miles an hour within the storm and its moving at 22 miles an hour. So that takes it inland by early tomorrow morning with 90mileanhour winds. You can see it weakens as it moves to the northeast, but all of that moisture thats going to be making a beeline for parts of our area come monday. And the rainfall looks like its going to be greater north and west thanks to nate than to the south and east avalon pick up less than an inch. But steady rain for monday. Today, no rain, 80 degrees, shorts, flipflops. Tomorrow, eagles mostly i think the game will be dry but chance of scattered mainly light showers tomorrow. A witness saw the crash around 4 00 this morning at tyson and bustleton avenues. The victim ended up with head injuries after hitting a pharmacy at that intersection. Hopes are high a new garden will help the Las Vegas Community heal. A Memorial Garden was designed this week and built on land owned by the city of las vegas. Nate is a strengthening hurricane, a category 1 right now already spreading rain into the gulf coast and to louisiana. Its expected to make landfall late this evening or early tomorrow morning. Winds of 85 miles an hour. Now theres still time for this storm to strengthen. And it is a dangerous storm likely to cause quite a bit of storm surge not only where it makes landfall, especially to the east. The winds, the strong winds extend way to the east on this storm system. As it moves inland it will weaken, but theres a lot of moisture thats going to be heading into the northeast. And its due in for us will start moving toward us early monday morning. By early Tuesday Morning its moving so fast its going to be out of the picture for us. But before it gets here well likely see some showers come tomorrow from that system to the west. Here we can see it on the hour by hour forecast.
