Watchung school board honors retiring staff members, outgoing board member Gail O'Donnell

WATCHUNG - The Board of Education for the grades K-8 school district said goodbye for a second time to Gail Tafaro O’Donnell at the end of her second stint on the school board at a virtual meeting on Monday, Dec. 21.
The board also recognized three retiring teachers and staff members from Valley View Middle School: health and physical education teacher Robert Murphy, administrative assistant Laurie Joyce and instructional aide and paraprofessional Mary Rutkowski.
Board members took turns reading sections of a proclamation recognizing O’Donnell prior to Superintendent George Alexis reading staff-written proclamations in honor of Murphy, Joyce and Rutkowski.
