WATCHUNG – After operating for nearly two months with an interim administrative head, Julie Glazer has been hired as the grades K-8 school district’s superintendent.
WATCHUNG – Potentially displaying “The Legend of Watchung” mural at Valley View School, a grades 5-8 facility, has spurred conflicting views among grades K-8 Board of Education members.
WATCHUNG - The Board of Education for the grades K-8 school district said goodbye for a second time to Gail Tafaro OâDonnell at the end of her second stint on the school board at a virtual meeting on Monday, Dec. 21.
The board also recognized three retiring teachers and staff members from Valley View Middle School: health and physical education teacher Robert Murphy, administrative assistant Laurie Joyce and instructional aide and paraprofessional Mary Rutkowski.
Board members took turns reading sections of a proclamation recognizing OâDonnell prior to Superintendent George Alexis reading staff-written proclamations in honor of Murphy, Joyce and Rutkowski.
