Warrington water customers get PFAS payback
Bucks County Courier Times
Warrington residents will start seeing credits on their North Wales Water Authority bills thanks to over $7 million in state grants.
The authority announced that account credits paid through state grant funding addressing PFAS water contamination costs should start in the first quarter of the year.
The grants include a $3.3 million and $800,000 PA-H20 grant award through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
The authority also received a $3.34 million grant through the Horsham Military Installation Remediation and Infrastructure Authority in December.
The credits are expected to cover the average residential customer in Warrington for up to one year or more, based on actual usage, according to the authority.
