PEOPLE missing hospital appointments at Royal Berkshire Hospital are being warned there could be “serious consequences” if they have a medical condition which goes untreated.
Hospital bosses are now trying to reassure people that it is safe to attend appointments and staff are not just treating Covid-19 patients.
Nicky Lloyd, acting chief executive of Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, said “very strict infection control policies” are in place, including a deep cleaning regime, a one-way system, and social distancing in waiting rooms.
