HAVERHILL — The Selectboard has opted to revert to the $4.14 million budget Haverhill operated under in 2020 rather than hold another Town Meeting vote for the proposed $4.6 million spending plan.
The decision was made Monday night after voters in Australian ballot voting on Saturday rejected the optional Town Meeting procedures Haverhill was following during the COVID-19 state of emergency.
Town Manager Brigitte Codling said via email that the Selectboard “voted to revert to last year’s operating budget (no warrant articles) and voted on transfers of allocations between budget lines per our recommendations to ensure continuity of Town operations.
