USC's housing shortage leaves upperclassmen scrambling, with no plans to close the gap

Despite growing its student body by some 9,000 students in the past 15 years, the University of South Carolina’s on-campus housing has increased only a fraction of that amount. That leaves tens of thousands of USC students combing the city for housing each year, affecting downtown Columbia and the well-being of students themselves.
