US, Africa histories 'intimately connected' by slavery: Yellen

DAKAR, Senegal: US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Saturday the histories of the United States and Africa were "intimately connected" by the "tragedy" of slavery, as Washington seeks to strengthen relations with the continent.
