The students are undertaking Erasmus and Study Abroad programmes and are primarily from Europe.
140 pHd research students from Algeria will also travel to Limerick to complete the remaining three years of their programme after spending the first year studying remotely.
UL says that the majority of these students have already arrived, restricted their movements before travelling and are currently restricting movements before the start of the Spring semester.
All of the incoming international students have been fully trained on public health guidelines and are in daily contact with the University to ensure compliance with the guidelines and weekly status reports which will be provided to the Government.
