New cases of novel coronavirus remain low

REGIONAL — Two more southwest Minnesota individuals have died as a result of COVID-19, according to information released Sunday morning in the Minnesota Department of Health's daily update.
A Pipestone County individual between the ages of 70 and 74 died as a result of the novel coronavirus, as did a Murray County individual between the ages of 75 and 79. No other information is available.
The Minnesota Department of Health recorded 13 new deaths during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Saturday, including six individuals who resided in private residences and seven who were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. The death toll from the virus in Minnesota now stands at 6,200, including 3,929 residents of long-term care facilities.
