WORTHINGTON For two people who bonded over a mutual love of travel adventures and family get-togethers, the pandemic proved particularly painful especially since their wedding was scheduled for the heart of the shutdown.
“Family is very important to us,” said Alex (Wetering) Kucera, a 2007 Worthington High School alumna.
“It really bothered me that all my cousins, aunts and uncles couldn’t actually see me get married in a church that still chokes me up a little because that was not at all how I had envisioned it.”

REGIONAL Murray County reported the region s only new case of COVID-19 during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to Sunday morning’s report from the Minnesota Department of Health. Cottonwood, Jackson, Nobles, Pipestone and Rock counties all had no new cases of the novel coronavirus.
The new cases were among 443 statewide during the reporting period. The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 598,766 (positive and antigen tests), with 585,112 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 42,483 Minnesota healthcare workers have contracted the virus.
