HENDERSON, Ky. — Two COVID-related deaths were reported Monday in Henderson County and five new confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded in the county.
Overall, the Green River District Health Department reported only eight new cases in its seven-county district on Monday. In addition to Henderson County's five cases, McLean County, Ohio County and Webster County had one new case apiece.
The Henderson County deaths were previously unreported COVID-19 deaths that were found through a state-wide review of death certificates.The two deaths bring Henderson County's total to 62 since the pandemic began.
The incidence rate, which measures the average daily cases per 100k population over the past seven days, rose to 8.2 as of Thursday afternoon in Henderson County, which held the county in the "yellow" or community spread level. The incidence rates in Webster County and Union County also remained in the community spread level at 5.5 and 3.0, respectively.
