The Tribury Rotary was able to support fuel banks in all three of the towns they support through a combination of a grant and funds that they raised. President Irene Hanley had applied for a grant from the Rotary District and receive $1,000 in addition to $500 that had been raised. The money was distributed to fuel banks in Middlebury, Woodbury and Southbury. Suzanne Clerkin, the treasurer of the Tribury Rotary, coordinated the efforts to arrange the donations.
“We are happy that the Tribury Rotary has been able to make such a generous donation to the Middlebury community during this pandemic.” stated Elaine Strobel, Middlebury Selectman.
