As expected, the NCAA's Transfer Portal has been incredibly active in the 11 months since a blanket waiver provided an extra year of eligibility to all student-athletes affected by last spring's cancellations.
Keep in mind that entry into the Portal simply means that players can communicate with other college programs and learn their options, as many players (UVA's Payton Cormier, for example) haved chosen to stay put or graduate and opt not to use the extra year.
