We are tracking chances for unsalted weather and heres why. Tropical depression a inform a making its presence known on the southeast coast but we can see some of all of it. It looks nice right now theres power out there. We can see some of it up here. The storm made its debut thee weeks before the official start of Hurricane Season and could send some rain our way. Lets get straight to chief meteorologist Scott Williams with what we can expect. Scott. We certainly need the rainfall but it doesnt look like were going to get whole lot of associated with whats left from ana. Most of the moisture take look at the satellite from space the tropical satellite showing you that most of the convection is out into the open waters of the atlantic. And it will continue to pull away. We do have that humidity making it feel tropical stepping outdoors. And then theres a cold front off to the west. Most of the Severe Weather with that front is impacting sections of indiana as well as ohio and those storms will likely stay well to our west. So closer to home you can see off into the open waters thats where were looking at those showers. The remnant moisture from ana. We saw a few pop up showers and storms earlier this afternoon. But most of that coverage has simply diminish. Look at the temperatures, though. Its very warm. 78 right now philadelphia. Low 80s in allentown as well as reading. And then take look at the winds breezy right now winds out of the south anywhere from 10 to about 15 miles per hour. Pumping in that moisture and look at the dew points. Dew points are in the mid 60s. We always talk about that measure of moisture any time you get dew points around 60, its sticky. Uncomfortable. Dew points in the mid 60s and by 70degree dew points it starts to feel down right oppressive so there could be an isolated storm most of us should stay dry if youre stepping outdoors. Its going to be a warm evening by 9 00 oclock 75 degrees maybe youre out in the yard. It is going to be pretty muggy. The pollen levels are pretty high as well. But coming up well talk about weather changes. Coolercool temperatures. When to expect better temperatures or rainfall as well and talk a little bit about what is ahead as we move toward the middle and latter part of this week with those temperatures. Guys, back to you. A car ended up under a ups tractor trailer. Firefighters had to free people trapped in that car. They were taken to a local hospital. No word yet on the their conditions. Two Philadelphia Police officers lucky to be okay after their police van flipped over. It happened around 11 30 this morning on the 2,000 block of south newkirk street in south philadelphia. Officials say the van collided with a nissan and the crash also took out a parked car. The people in the nissan are okay and the officers went to the hospital just as a precaution. New developments to night in a deadly kensington fire that tore through threestory Apartment Building early this morning. Officials say one man is dead and more than a dozen others are displaced. They cannot go home tonight. Now fire investigators say they believe someone started that fire on purpose. Fox 29s dave kinchen is live in front of that Apartment Building. Dave what are officials telling you . Investigators believe this building was fire bombed and the fire sent about five people to the hospital. Both were rescued from this threestory Apartment Fire in kensington monday morning. Got to my daughter. My whole life right there. Investigators believe the building was fire bombed in an act of arson. We have within we heard windows smashing. Iran outside. We saw the smoke. Reporter firefighters made several rescues but some residents jumped to save team neighbors say 30yearold matt did not make it after falling during attempted ladder rescue. He was standing up there and i guess even overwhelmed by the smoke or got too hot for him and he just came right down and he landed right next to me. Supposedly started work dag making 7 an hour. So he can provide for this children and get them a roof over their head. The building did not have any working fire alarms but the owner bob mitchell said that system was raided by residents. Thats due to the fact the tenants stripped the wiring. The property was sight cited for fire and maintenance violations in 2007 and expired housing inspection licenses. One was cited for first floor renovations without a permit. In 2012 another violation for running a hair is a son without a license. Thousands of dollars in fines were assessed but the own are in says violations can never justify arson. There may be a violation here and there. I mean im not going to lie about that. I mean, every building when you have tenants that dont pay they call l and i for a second and i get a list. I fix the stuff. Some things minot have gotten fixed. Im not sure. Early morning Apartment Fire in east windsor, new jersey sends two people to the hospital. Firefighters were called to the Windsor Castle apartments just after 2 00 this morning. A resident was taken to a hospital for injuries. She got from jumping out of a window. A firefighter was also taken to the hospital for a foot injury. Residents describe what they woke up to. About 2 00 their this morning i woke up to a woman screaming help help, help i came outside outside. And i looked across the street and i did see flames coming from the one apartment. And then i saw a cop comeing. And all of a sudden the flames got really big and it just spread throughout the whole building. Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire. Lehigh county woman gave her one a eight month old a kiss before shoving him off a bridge allentown so says investigator whos are charging her with murder. 19yearold perry jumped from the hamilton street bridge just after her baby dropped into the lehigh river eight days ago. Now, rescuers did pull that baby from the water. He spent sick days on live support but he died over the weekend. Rescuers found perry on the river bank and doctors released her from a hospital on thursday. Shes now in the Lehigh County jail face as rain many tomorrow. The video showed firefighters from this seoul volunteer fire company in Darby Township riding on the front of a fire truck sirens blazing and apparently celebrating some award that they just won. Video is now on Facebook Youtube and a variety of firefighter blogs with the overwhelming majority of the comments criticizing the firefighters for driving too fast using the sirens nor reason and basically acting inappropriately. I came to the neighborhood and although social media is highly critical, most of the residents thought the fire company is just getting a bad wrap. They got an award for whatever it was and then theyre proud of what theyre doing. So why not um, you know, why not boast a little bit and say hey, you know, this is what we do . Were here for you people. Reporter facebook everything is going get blown out of proportion and theres only so many eyes that are actually seeing it. As far as for me, my person, you know, pin they seem like they contribute to the community. Reporter i came here to the Goodwill Fire Company its a volunteer company. So nobody was here. They also didnt return phone calls. I reached out to the person who posted the video. He had no comment but the title fire truck stewed did the pretty much tells us what he thinks about this. I also went to go speak to the township manager. He told me that he hadnt heard of or seen the video and would have no comment until he had a chance to look into it. Iain, you know whats interesting about this online these firefighters are being called it i dont do tick and extremely dangerous but you get a different feel from the residents who seeped hesitant to criticize people that they likely new because its such a small town. It will be warm, muggy and yes yes, the tree pollen it continues on the high category really for much of this week but look at the peak there on wednesday. 11. 5 just keep in mind if youll be outdoors for any prolonged period of time. Pumping in some of that moisture in the lower levels. We have 78 degrees in trenton. 78 right now in philadelphia. Low 80s in reading as well as allentown. We have 72 in wildwood and 73 right now in atlantic city. But look at the humidity. Its at 94 in dover. Close to 80 in wilmington. 64 humidity right now in philadelphia. A little lower once you move back toward Lehigh Valley and the poconos in the 50s. There might be an isolated storm around but most of us just stay from the tee dry and muggy. But look at the temperatures still in the mid 70s by 9 00. Low 70s by 11 00 oclock tonight tonight. So lows tonight similar to last night back into the mid to upper 60s. Ana pulling away theres a cold front off to the west. Showers and storms right now into sections along the gulf coast that brought the Severe Weather across parts of texas last night and you can see ana in will continue to pull away over the next day or so. So out ahead of that front tomorrow we warm into the mid even upper 80s. Maybe an isolated storm but it looks more so like a dry frontal passage and then by wednesday were looking at some cooler air. Its going to feel pretty chilly compared to what weve been getting right now and especially tomorrow. 60s for low temperatures tonight and then tomorrow, upper 80s. Warm breezy, muggy and the first part of the day but then that humidity lowers once that front moves through late in the day. But look at the temperature change behind that front. Were looking at upper 60s for high temperatures on wednesday. Spring fling will be in media so it will ab cooler and breezy but nice weather for thursday into friday and then the weekend there could be a scattered shower or a storm.
