Poke mow mountain the Lehigh Valley as we take a look at the viewing there for tonight poor because of the mostly cloudy skies. As you move around philadelphia into south jersey and delaware, fair skies. Due to all of those scattered clouds. Once again, have a lot of light out there and also look to the north. Kathy . Thanks very much, scott. We are talking about conditions that are going to be changing rapidly over the next 24 to 48 hours. Heat, humidity and chasing record warmth on saturday. 96 tomorrow the heat rolls on heres look the your seven day forecast, temperatures are going to be quite warm. Wait a minute. Very latest from the weather center. Well take care of that seven day hopefully get it to you later in the broadcast. Well send it over to sports and sean bell. Kathy, what else is there to talk about right now. All about football. Its about the eagles, eagles and mo eagles. Football is here dan the eagles gave us something to actually be excited about. Carson wentz and Doug Pederson both making their nfl debut. Lots to be happy about but theres some concerns. Eagles football is back. Thats coming up next in sports. Football is finally back. Nfl totally botch the hall of fame game. Gave us a pump fake after weve been dying for football for months but its back and we get to finally see what this new eagle team looks like. Its going to be a first for the two main spots. Doug pederson coaching hess first game as a head coach. We all wondered if he could do this as main guy and if he actually did something under andy reid. So we get to finally see what hes going to do in carson wentz, man, weve been waiting for this guy since this right here. Since hes been drafted. Weve been waiting to see if hes the real deal. If hes the future. Lets go to the game. Doug pederson apparently texted before the game, relax, calm down. Wentz came in the late in the second his first play an over throw. Thats what happens when youre young rookie and have some nerves. He calmed down and got in the groove. Zach ertz for his first nfl completion. This is why they drafted hip. The ability to get out of the pocket use the athletecism and throw dart to his receiver. But rookie going to be a rookie. Throws an interception right there. Bad read. Bad throw. Especially in the red zone. Thats a pick. Wentz went 12 for 2489 yards and anterior interception there was at least three drops. Offensive lien was terrible all day. He actually had a good day really showed why they traded all the way up to get him. After the game Doug Pederson talk about wednesdays first nfl experience. He was in the right frame of mind. He was excited looking forward to playing, and made some, you know, made a couple tough runs, you know, for us which we needed and then completed the ball, um, you know where it needed to be by no means is he perfect or anybody was perfect tonight. But pleased for his first outi outing. Back to the starters Doug Pederson liking what he saw early. After an opening kick off turnover, Ryan Matthews powers his way through. Thats what he is when hes healthy. When hes healthy hell be a problem. Then on defense fletcher cox show that listen all that money you gave me i deserve it. He caused a fumbles and recovered. Front seven looked great all game. That turnover chase daniels who had an awful day because his line was absolutely bad. He runs it in for the touchdown. That made it 14zero. Eagles go on to win 17nine. Sam bradford played one series. One throw for 3 yards. Kept him out of harms way. Schwartz defense look great forced five turnovers. So a good day for the eagles. O line is the only problem. That will be pretty bad. Later on ill talk to you about the good the bad and the ugh the in the 11 00. Theres a lot of ugly but the good is very good. Doesnt matter.
