Authorities say the driver was texting at the time of the crash. Under the picture, police wrote, please put the phones down. Your life and the others of the world around you are worth the driver got lucky here. Nobody got seriously injured in the crash. So lesson probably hard learned but good to show folks anyway. Statistics show any given time of day, approximately 660,000 drivers are attempting to use a phone. One in four accidents are a result of the distraction. Shes from southern england and she took offense when a few of her classmates called her brother, who has autism, weird. She tried to explain that autism is. But her friends didnt understand. So she told her mother she wanted to write a letter but the letter was not to her classmates talking about how hurt she was. The letter was to the School District asking them to better educate kids about different disabilities. She figured if people understood different or as the kids put it, weird. Her mom was so proud that she posted the letter on facebook where it has been shared more than 30,000 times. Here is part of it. I would like it if we could learn about disabilities in school so that everybody understanding people are different but we should all be treated the same. Organizations dedicated to autism and other disabilities jumped on board, posting her message alongside free resources for as for lex, she has joined the Student Council at her school and shes trying to make changes there on a much bigger scale. She also has a meeting with parliament to discuss legislation to require better education in schools. Thats something, huh, jen . Jennifer it is. Yeah. Beautiful. Hes been charming people at nursing homes, assisted tampa bay for five years. Theres never a visit where i go out, whether were working with senior sfwlit citizens that amos doesnt amaze me. He does something every time thats just beautiful. Jennifer the kids at Johns Hopkins all Childrens Hospital think amos is the perfect size. He gave me a kiss on my hand. Jennifer it was the perfect happy birthday. Thank you. So talk to me about the cool birthday present you just got. Everyone wants a horse for their birthday so its a pretty good present. Jennifer and the grownups were thrilled to see amos, too. Especially melissa. Her 7yearold daughter has brain cancer and has grown to love the mini horse. He just brings her so much joy. She takes her fingers and rubs him on his nose and puts him to sleep and it just he really makes her smile. Hes a blessing to all the jennifer hes also a blessing to his owner shelly who says she knew from the first hospital visit that amos was something special. He walked right up to the bed and put his head on the bed and we knew then he was destined for great things. He gets rewarded for his good work with his favorite treats.
