that the two individuals, amanda knox, just didn't do it they chose the latter which is highly unusual under their system. we she was there and we heard her addressing the court in italian, how much weight did that carry? >> well, clearly a lot i mean it was her closing argument i think that she looked the justice, two justices and then the six lay justices under their system, looked them in the seen a different outcome. and now she is headed home. >> yep. >> this is so unusual for me and it really has captivated national audience with this i find it very unusual. >> what is interesting, even to make an announcement that could reverse that decision a new poll out by the washington post and abc news has christy tied for 4th place with ron paul if he does decide to run they are both only a few points behind rick perry, jonathan strong staff writer for role call. you had an article about truency in the house what is the deal. >> i looked at two members also serving in the house of representatives they represent 600,000 people both of them have missed quite a few votes while out on the campaign trail but michelle bachmann is the worst offender she has only been there 54% of the votes and none in the whole month of september. >> wow. that is -- now how does that compare with some other folks you looked into. ron paul has been there over 80% of the time and mccoter during his brief, ill fated bid was voting 87% of the time which is the best. >> that is a look at truency in the house now the white house itself especially when we talk about the gop field chris christy we just talked about whether he may run or not is he in or out? >> apparently consulting with his family the news from the last cohow difficult it will be for him to get in at this late stage. there has very difficult, you know when you try to do it overnight like this. >> do you think because he said nothing short of suicide will get him to believe he is serious and not running do you think his interest now if he would reverse that decision is because we have had so much movement among gop candidates so far? >> clearly there is a segment that is clamoring for more voices unsatisfied with the choices they have. so, you see that, and i think christy has a big problem though, if he runs, when you refer to those quotes because he said he is not ready to run for president. >> right >> so what is he -- if he is going to run for president what does he do ability those quotes -- about those quotes. if you look at the polls now the average polls on the gop side still mitt romney ahead of perry, herman cain has got a lot of attention lately. he has been pushing this 999 plan when it comes to taxes could he win or get a nod or attention just based on that or does he need to show more than that. a lot of the republican voters like herman cain a lot but have a reservation about him he is not electable i am trying to pin down where that is coming from maybe he is too far to the right try to stay out of the headlines and let everyone else get the attention. >> so far is good if you are mitt romney, keeping above the fray avoiding a tax that could hurt you, you know you are very happy perry has taken the fall after that lead he had, when the the republican party and members look at these candidates, at what point do they start looking at or if not already, not just who is the darling to have gop but who could beat president obama in an election. >> these voters are focussing on who is the most electable person rather than who has x, y and z policy decisions. >> more to acres the largest winery in virginia, in state of virginia and the vineyards are beautiful and we are -- we spent a lot of money on revamping them and bringing them up it was -- it had some problems they spent too much money to put it mildly i bought it hopefully at a nice discounted price but that is sad because that is what is happening in our country you buy everything with a discount if you have cash and we spent a lot of money on it and are making it something really special, going to be one of the best vineyards any where in the country. >> you saw it as a fantastic opportunity looks potomac it is a spectacular success i have 900 members, club house i just rebuilt it and it is really something special, it is amazing and it has been a great great success everybody is joining we have a lot of big wigs joining and actually have already joined so that has been fun and i think the vineyards will be fun and those are two pretty big jobs in virginia, in light of what is happening today we are employing a lot of people. >> celebrating that you have a new book out this week as well. is there any thing you wanted to purchase you haven't yet? >> well, i guess over my lifetime, i mean i have made some bad purchases once i made a purchase of a yacht and i bought a big big yacht and never used it because i would rather play golf than go on a yacht so i am sitting here with this huge yacht and say what do i do with this thing but what i do i am really a business guy i purchase for business i like to put people to work i like to do it. i am not too flamboyant in the non-important purchases as i would call them. >> you are a political guy, since this is washington dc let me ask you about the gop field you met with herman cain recently and rick perry and friends with chris chris the what are your thoughts. well, i met with mitt romney the other day, came up to trump tower my thoughts are we have to win this election barack obama is just not doing it, we've got tremendous unemployment the world is laughing at us, i mean the world is just eating our plop it is terrible i am looking at what is happening, seeing what is happening i have friends in china, in countries they are telling me they can't believe what we are getting away with. they are taking our jobs, manufacturing our goods, manipulating current is he. chris christy -- current sei. chris christy is a good friend, i don't think he is going in but if you said two weeks ago i would have been more definitive i think he is probably not going in but will make the announcement soon. real quick i follow your twitter i know you were on greta last night a lot of attention towards the amanda knox case why were you so sure she was innocent. >> based on the evidence i watched about three years ago and saw this young lady in italy and looked like she was being railroaded we checked out the evidence and they had no evidence and turned out the courts finally righted themselves but i helped out the family a little bit, and you know i am very happy i did it and very happy with the decision and she was innocent they had no evidence whatsoever she didn't do it and i am glad she got out. >> donald trump a pleasure stop in and see us some time when you are in washington good luck with the new vineyard. >> thank you very much great honor. >> thanks steve, bob mcdonald is expected
