technology is a good idea for adults as well. >> even if you think to go to do it you're reminded instantly, so it's just a reinforcement to not text and drive. >> i think it will work. i mean, i think it's a great idea for kids and actually for anybody that texts. >> reporter: woods thinks using this kind of technology early on could curb future bad habits. >> i think once the kids get this, and are used to having it and know this is what's going to happen that's exactly what will happen. they'll have to go text, i'm pulling over. >> reporter: during the demonstration we actually had to stop and wait about 90 seconds for the texting function to start working again. this product only works with gps enabled offenses. it's not the only product of its kind on the market but this one in those areas. it may be upper 20s in the mountains. they've got a freeze warning up out there. but growing season just getting going there. 52 in d. d.c. gaithersburg back down to 43. lots of places in the 40s and we've got clouds down here. as the clouds clear out and winds get lighter we'll continue to see temperatures drop as the air is very dry. perhaps you notice it in your house getting that static electricity shock here and there. a chilly night ahead as suburbs drop to the mid-30s. maybe even as cool as 34 degrees in winchester and german town. chantilly you'll get to 37. near water, 38. columbia, 35, with a frost advisory and d.c. coming in with an expected low of 41 degrees. after our high temperature today of 65. so not bad. but it was a little bit on the cloudy side. but heat is coming. we're showing you the high temperatures across the nation and starting to see it warm-up in places like dallas. check out the 95 they got to in phoenix today. 74 in del rio and 66 in st. louis. one more day in the 60s and we expect to see things warming up a lot. the breeze will be back. we're still under the influence of that low pressure that brought us the thunderstorms yesterday. it also continued to bring winds and cold air aloft over us today. it will be close enough tomorrow that it will still be able to do that. so a bit of a breeze but good sunshine. what we will watch, though, apps the days go by is for warmer air to start getting closer on the weather map. the leading edge will be showing up on our weather maps tomorrow and by thursday, we're up to 70
