Officers with gunned drawn tried to pull the hijacker off the bus, he was described as being distraught, violent. The man who was hit described as a worker at crown was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Dc police chief, cathy lanier, says the suspect hijacked the bus about 90 seconds after boarding near the 3800 block of j street northeast.
