Yes they are slipping and sliding because of the snow and wet conditions. In roanoke fire and First Responders say this is part of the reason why it is taking longer to get help where it is needed. The city fire chief tells us trucks cant go too fast in this weather, maybe up to 40 Miles Per Hour because crews are not able to travel at those normal speeds and as a result calls take about 30 longer from the initial sponsor time and the chief says their job is to help others in accidents, not become part of one so they are also watching out for other drivers on the road. The calls normally take and when you are on a snow event it could take as much as an hour and a half, getting to the scene and getting to the hospital and getting cleared up.
