I take absolute responsibility. I was the candidate. If thats truly how she assesses the situation, give her credit for being honest, but she didnt grapple with some of the bigger thinks that were in the air and maybe driving the election. The simplest one is i cannot think of an election where the climate was more antiestablishment than it was in 2016. And Hillary Clinton had 25 years of experience not just on the National Political stage but at the center of it. And i think that was a major ingredient. I didnt hear her grapple with that. And what about President Trump . She kind of trolled him a little bit by saying i won the popular vote. She all but dared him to tweet to her, and he took the bait. Shes making the same argument as the debate. She said we cant have a commander in chief who can be baited with a tweet. Turns out the voters thought it was a risk to bake. And more than the big stuff about change versus establish. She got logistics wrong. Her plane didnt landin michigan, wisconsin, the states that she lost are states where democrats where not made any gains. Im not sure her appearance yesterday will help. Lets pretend the election is over, because it is, and get to the business of running the government and funding it. If youre a republican member of congress, steve, youre in one of the majority in the house or the senate, how do you feel about the president s tweet where he says, quote, our country needs a good shutdown in september to fix mess. This is donald trump responding not just to democrats taunting him, but he has talk radio saying trump got rolled on this budget deal. And donald trump doesnt like to hear that. The only thing he can come up with is the next time this funding comes around, well give them the shut doub, but meanwhile if youre a republican on capitol hill, what do you want to do between now and september . Breaking overnight, a suicide car bomber struck a u. S. Military convoy in afghanistan. It killed at least eight civilians and injured three American Service members. It happened near the u. S. Embassy in kabul. Isis has claimed responsibility for the attack. There are shock waves this morning. New developments tied to a number of Police Involved shootings. Lets begin in baton rouge, louisiana where the Justice Department decided it will not bring charges against two White Police Officers who shot and killed an African American man back in july. This city has been bracing for the Justice Departments decision for days and lawyers for the family of alton sterling thought theyd be the first to know, but they say they have net to be notified. The word leaked out that emotional outrage was immediate. The news spread quickly overnight. That no charges would be filled against the two Police Officers who shot alton sterling. Through the night protesters holding an emotion value vigil. Its been almost a year and were still suffer like it happened yesterday. Reporter last july police went to the store after a 911 caller told them someone matching his description pulled a gun. On the video the officers are scene wrestling sterling to the ground and holding him down. What happened before the graphic recording of the shooting is unknown. Shoots fired. Reporter an officer can be seen pulling something from his pocket. Police say it was a gun and sterling was reaching for it. I spoke to the owner of the store. Did you see mr. T for that gun or threaten the officers with the gun . No. No. Reporter for days after the shooting protesters filled the streets. Dozens of arrests were made. Almost immediately the Justice Department opened a civil rights investigation. Now sources tell nba news, they concluded there isnt enough evidence to bring charges but sterlings sister said the officers should be arrested. The its not okay with me. Because now you all are going to let these two officers walk, and thats the end of it. I guaranteed you if i shot somebody and they didnt even point the gun at me or anything of that sort, id be in jail. So why are they [ bleep ] not in jail . Reporter city officials are now pleading for calm. There were a few Peaceful Protesters around the Convenience Store overnight. The state could still bring charges against the two officers but that decision would be up to louisianas attorney general. Gabe, thank now to texas where police have fired the officer who shot and killed a 15yearold boy as he was leaving a party. They say he violated several Department Policies in the shooting death of jordan edwards. The teenager was killed on saturday night when oliver filed multiple spots. Police say the car was driving aggressively toward the officer, but officials changed it after viewing body camera video that showed the car driving away from police. His family is calling for criminal charges against the officer. In South Carolina a plea deal for the officer charged in the shooting death of an unarmed motori motorist Michael Slager pleaded guilty to violating the civil rights of walter scott. Slagers murder trial ended last december in a hung jury. As part of the deal the state of South Carolina will not file new slager was fired after cell phone video of the 2015 went viral. Scotts brother said his family was grateful to have justice. Back to the amazing video. A Small Plane Crash north of seattle. This incident caught on a dashboard camera. How does that work . Well, when youre a young guy and you start writing songs, its difficult. You really havent found your voice. I got my first record when i was 20, 21. I got my first record deal. I wasnt really prepared to become a song writer. But as time went on, you know, the more that youre creating, painting is creating, the more you become open to ideas. They just kind of come into you. And theres a song on the new record called easy targets. And i was painting, and the this voice goes john, you might want to put your paint brush down and write these words down, and i went no, i dont want to. I kept painting. Finally the voice got the best of me. I walked to my phone. I sang the song into my phone. I put it back down, and then found it a couple days later and go when did i write that . In the right amounts. And theres a snack. We have nuts. And a sweet potato with baked fish or grilled chicken and broccoli. These are big portions. Yes. Theyre real people portions, and again, youll feel satisfied and lose the weight. And i love this breakfast. This is my apple protein pancakes. Theyre delicious. Theyre not too bad. Theyre pretty good. And theyre packed with 20 grams of protein. A huge salad. Lots of filling produce. This is sausage sauted with peppers and onions. And again, snacks are allowed. Yogurt with berrys, and there are many i think its doable. Reuben and obi, lets get to the work out. Reuben and charlene, were going to have them exercising about four to five days a week. Whats great about the exercises, you can do them in your home. All you need is a pair of dumbbells and maybe a chair. Were going to show you a couple quick exercises. Well start off monday, wednesday, and friday are boot camp card owe moves. The first move is high knees. Simple. And i want reuben and charlene to do them with me. You can check it out. High knees is simple. Move your feet like this. And if you have bad knees, you dont have to move your knees up that high. Use your arms. And make sure youre upright. About 15 seconds, second move is basically jumping over a towel. Grab a towel. Okay. Youre going to stand next to the towel. Use your arms and just like this. Jump over. Just like that. Its a good boot camp card owe move on monday, wednesday, friday. Simple. 15 seconds. Small little jump. All right . Thats another move. Now were going to do Strength Training exercises tuesday and thursday first exercise were going to do, shoulder dumbbell press. Grab the dumbbells. Work the shoulders, tone the arms.
