There will be two Memorial Services in gaithersburg. The first one is at 2 00 p. M. The Funeral Service will be tomorrow at 10 00 a. M. And Gladys Tordil will be remembered tonight at a vigil at Parkdale High School at 7 00 p. M. Her family wants her returned to the philippines for a proper burial and want the couples two children to live there. The two children are in foster care right now. The two officers charged in this case have been ordered to testify under immunity against their fellow officers. Michael ford opened fire in an ambush attack outside the district 3 station and his brothers recorded the shooting coleson died after a fellow officer mistook him for a suspect in the shootout. Now to the latest on the Death Investigation of icon prince. According to a search warrant, a doctor saw prince twice in the month before he died including the day before his death and prescribed him medicine. So the mayor is trying to distribute the families wards and is running into flak over that as well. But later today well get a look at the population overall on what she and other leaders are looking at. Now this will be a point in time snapshot. Its done by the council of government. They have done it for the last 15 years. And it is defining Homeless People as People Living on the street or in shelters. And the largest population of that group are in d. C. And there has been a continued decline in chronic homelessness. So overall there has been a decrease. Now, heres what it looks like for last year. The largest decrease came in arlington county. They were down by 18 . D. C. Saw a 6 decrease in the number of homelessness. And Prince Georges County saw a 4 decrease. There were some troubling numbers from Frederick County and Montgomery County. They saw 26 and 23 increases respectively. Now when the numbers come out, the city and area leaders are interested in them because they and this has been a problem plaguing jurisdictions all over the place here as well as other places in the country. But they particularly want to get a grasp on this. And when the studies are done, it generally gives them a baseline and gives them some scope of the problem to help them address it. Montgomery county police say demarus nickens and another man rockville and forced their way inside, they beat up the 77yearold homeowner. Nickens is connected to similar crimes in anne arundel and Prince Georges County. And now to more on a story on counterfeit checks. Someone got ahold of a womans Checking Account and started to write fake checks. She turned to nbc4 responds for help. Reporter imagine her surprise she gets a copy of her checks back from her bank. The problem is she didnt write any of them and there were hundreds of dollars in fraudulent charges. So jean flippin got her statement along with a number of canceled checks. The checks have her routing number and her Checking Account number but her name and address removed and replaced with a strangers information. Now someone had made fraudulent check purchases totaling more than 800 dollars. Not sure her daughter contacted nbc4 he responds. We informed them federal banks should refund accounts if the investigation goes longer than ten days. Since it had, jeep wan was refu the entire amount. Police are trying to figure out why a man went on a deadly stabbing spree in massachusetts. Police say 28yearold Arthur Derosa stabbed four people at two yesterday. Monica is joining us live from taunton, massachusetts, with the latest. Monica . Reporter what seems disturbing about the case is that the investigators say the attacks were all random. I want to show you the scene here where it all began. Were here along myra street in taunton, massachusetts. This is where 28yearold Arthur Derosa crashed his vehicle and broke into a home stabbing two women yesterday evening. One woman died. Now you can still see some of the crime scene tape left here. The home in question is actually across the street from these white homes. Sources tell us a mother and daughter were inside when derosa broke in and stabbed them. An 80yearold woman died at the hospital. The younger woman is in the hospital with lifethreatening injuries. Investigators towed vehicles from the scene here last night and were learning more about the motive here. Were learning from the boston harold that the suspects family says derosa was mentally disturbed and recently hospitalized for depressio neighborhood who said they saw the man with a weapon. They say they saw the man leave here with the weapon. People in this neighborhood very disturbed at what they saw. They said the mother and daughter lived here for some time.
