Justin finch will tell you why firefighters had such a hard time getting into that home. A Capitol Heights family is also mourning today after their loved one was found dead after a house fire. It was about 9 00 yesterday morning when a neighbor on crown street in Capitol Heights realized this house was on fire and called 911. Prince georges county firefighters were putting out the flames and they found a body. Theyve not identified the person or cause of death here but neighbors tell us a woman and her mother lived in that home. There was not a working Smoke Detector inside the house. Theres new help for thousands of men and women who try to save lives every day. A new Behavioral Health Treatment Center will start operating today. It is the first of its kind facility in north america. Senator spoke at its dedication. Every shift you take is a shift that y risk for somebody else. Studies show that being a firefighter is causing ptsd at rates similar to those found in combat veterans. The revised order is expected to remove iraq from that list of countries. Other changes a the state department under the Trump Administration is expected to happen today. A fair tax county teenager is on her way home and a man is behind bars accused of raping her. Police in tulsa, oklahoma, found them in a hotel on saturday. Officers across the country had been asked to keep an eye out for the girl. Once she was found she was taken to the hospital and Jonathan Lewis was arrested. All engine firefighters tell us that clutter was a big issue in fighting this fire here. Much of it left near the front door of this twostory home here. Firefighters struggled, they say, to get past that debris and make their way inside to make those rescues and also beat back flames. Lets take you to the scene last night. Fire crews pulled up here close to 9 00 sunday night just west of route 1 here. Inside they found two victims, one was pronounced dead on scene and the other rushed to the hospital in critical condition. What is not clear at this time is if smoke a at the time of this fire. We did speak with a neighbor here on scene who tells us he knows the family who lived here. He says they called this house a home for more than three decades. It was bad. I mean, i i wont lie. I had to go in the house a little bit and had to fight tears because ive known hem a very long time and its a crushing thing to have seen them in the condition they were when they were brought out. An Indian American man was shot his driveway working on his car. Police say they are investigating this shooting as a possible hate crime. They say the suspect was wearing a mask and ran away. Another developing story about a community potentially being started but now the nypd is saying they dont believe the head stones at this Jewish Cemetery were vandalized.
