Pulling a student through the hallway while another teacher, another special ed teacher watched. Reporter she says the child was placed in a dark classroom. She was saying something about behaving and if do you want me to leave you here and walk away . She was beginning to walk away. I stepped up and said whats going on here . I was assured it would be taken care of. Reporter that was another incident head start says they were not told about. The people who work inside of head start programs have to do what they call mandatory reporting. Theyre supposed to let the regional and Central Offices of head start know and also Child Protective Services in situations like this. But head start tells us that they were not notified. The Prince Georges County board of education will be meeting tonight to discuss all of these issues with head start. Problems with reporting was part of what caused the feds to go ahead and pull that 6. 4 million that help fund the programs.
