Been shot. Were trying to find out their conditions at this hour. Well send it back to you. Tonight a Montgomery County high school is reeling from a tragedy. Reporter well, you see behind me that police have blocked off one lane of this very dangerous stretch of road to give members of the Clarksburg Community room to grieve. We reached out to all three families who lost a son last night. One father not only wanted to speak with us about his son, but wanted to honor the memories of the friends his son died with in this accident. Students g their friends. It consists of flowers, footballs, and balloons. Last night just after 11 30, the crash occurred on a section of burnt hill road that is downhill with tight curves. The truck left the road hitting trees. The police say the driver of the 1989 ford pickup jacob dennis had just gotten his provisional drivers license in march. A good kid, brandnew driver, make a mistake, have tragic consequences. It is a recipe for disaster. Reporter jacob dennis and his passengers were killed in the crash. They were all juniors at clarksburg high school. Today after graduation ceremonies, the principal said the Three Friends seemed to be at the center of all school clarksburg is about. Loved by everyone. Got along with everyone. I mean, it just happened too soon. For me, for the other families that this happened to, my heart goes out. Back to you. An awful twist in a Domestic Violence case. Police say a woman trying to escape her husbands threats ran to a neighbors house for safety, but things turned deadly when her husband went in after her. David culver is live outside the Sheriffs Office in culpeper with details. David . Reporter and tonight deputies tell me that that neighbor who tried to protect the woman from her husband is dead. So too is the suspect. It has left this community right here in culpeper, virginia, in disbelief. It began here inside this culpeper home off gray street, a home in which neighbor Landon Jenkins thought lived a happy couple. Every time i seen them they was out in the yard working together. I dont know. It just kind of blows my mind that it happened up here. Reporter just before 9 00 last night, a domestic dispute started between Willis Walker and his estranged wife. We heard a gunshot. I guess ten minutes later cops pulled up and they blocked everything off. They told us we couldnt leave the driveway. Reporter walker grabbed a shotgun firing at his wife as she ran outside to a neighbors home. Banging on the door screaming for help. The neighbor in turn called 911 immediately. Reporter the neighbors a 70yearold woman and a 74yearold man opened the door and locked it. Once he got into the home, he fired and killed the male occupant, 74yearold male, in the home. Reporter by that point, deputies had already arrived. Surrounded the home. Walker allegedly had beaten his wife and stepped on the deck shotgun in hand telling the officers ive killed two. Reporter walker refused put the gun down. A sergeant on scene fired one shot, killing walker. It is very shocking. Reporter landon didnt know the neighbor walker allegedly killed, but knew the suspect as a kind person. Tonight the sheriff tells me that the woman who initially reported this incident, walkers wife, has been released from the hospital. Shes been treated for nonlife threatening injuries. Police are investigating this at the state level so they can continue to look into this. Such a tragedy there. To a developing story out of Montgomery County again where some parents are finding out tonight that a High School Teacher was fired for allegedly taking inappropriate pictures of students in class. The county says todd scriber was a teacher at bethesda chevy chase high school. Jackie bensen is theron reporter were told this came to the attention of the police after a 14yearold girl who was taking a test in scribers classroom after school went to ask him a question and noticed he appeared to be sliding his phone under her skirt. Police have charged him with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor after finding pictures on his phone. The High School Teacher was placed on leave last october after a female student expressed concerns to her parents and they called police. Scriber has since been fired. The schools principal wrote the charges represent a serious breach of trust, responsibility, integrity, and the law. We spoke to students who say they appreciate that the matter was taken seriously. Its really important to know that students are safe all around the school and around the county. I it is really important to know so all the students are safe. Reporter none of the female victims had any idea that scriber was taking their picture, that they were innocent victims in all this. News4. Back to you. Match set. After big victories last night, Hillary Clinton skremcements he as presumptive nominee. She is now pivoting towards the general election, but Bernie Sanders isnt backing down. Even before last night, Hillary Clinton had been declared the presumptive nominee because with the help of some of those superdelegates she hit the magic number of 2383. Thanks to some big victories in both new jersey and california, take a look at this. Her combined lead is several hundred beyond that required to she leads sanders by millions in the popular vote and the number of contests won. At this point, the only contest left is right here in the district next tuesday. 46 delegates at stake. More than half of them are superdelegates. Earlier, i spoke with chuck todd about california and clintons new approach this time around. I think shes simply acknowledging the historic nature of the moment. I think its perfectly appropriate, but i think youll my guess is youll see her talk about this about as often as barack obama did when he was the nominee in 08. Every so often it would come up. Getting the nomination, winning on election night. I would be surprised if you see this as a continuing theme throughout the campaign. How did she turn a twopoint spread into a doue in california . Well, look, i think there were two things that benefitted her in california. Number one was the diversity of the electorate. Her victory in california is the same as she got in florida, texas, and new york. In the big diverse states, she outperformed him in those key demographic groups. California has one of the largest populations that mail in their ballots. They dont vote at the polls. They get their ballots in the mail and send them back. Hillary clinton clearly banked a lot more votes than Bernie Sanders ever did. To me, its a sign of whats to come for donald trump, if hes not careful. Bernie sanders had a campaign, had an organization. Clintons was better. Right now, donald trump doesnt have an organization. Coming up, were going to get chucks thoughts on a meeting scheduled between president meanwhile donald trump is trying to raise money as he looks ahead to the general election with clinton. I was sleeping and i heard the impact, so i kind of looked out the window to see what was going on. I saw the smoke come out, and i saw a little girl go, mommy. Thats when i called 911. Reporter as for the driver of the jeep, she escaped injury as well. No injuries, of course. She was an adult female, young ad personnel and she was not injured, so was not transported to the hospital. Reporter back at the scene, theyre still working to fix the place up. That could take some time. Police have filed some charges here. Ill have more on that coming up at 6 00. Jim, back to you. You took us that distance. We saw the impact there. Any sense of just how fast that jeep may have been going . Reporter not exactly, but it had to be picking up some speed because look over here. You can see it went down this embankment and it had to have some speed to go through that brick column, that support column, because it just smashed that to smithereens. Thanks so much. He has a broken gps monitor, and you think that hes safe for my community . Dear, judge, come and live in my community, please.
