We keep them in the shade as much as we can. And we have full pads and then later in the afternoon they can wear shorts. And the teams athletic trainer uses a tool like this, a temperature index. The coaches know how hard they can push the athletes and restrictions as far as clothing and just uppers for football or remove the helmet.
