Lets look outside on the schuylkill expressway. Weve got a bad commute on the schuylkill its because of an accident that weve got near belmont. Look at this traffic here at city avenue. Completely jammed especially eastbound, a 31 minute ride from blue route to the vine. Well show you the accident scene when action news comes right back. 6 44. Lets check the Tuesday Morning traffic with karen rogers. And you see the flashing lights. Weve got a big accident. Its on the schuylkill expressway. Was blocking a lane. Its now off to the side. We can see it right here. Were watching live as penndot kind of pulled up to the scene. They have a tow truck on the scene, police on the scene. All assisting with this accident and even though its on the side were seeing big delays now on the schuylkill expressway. This is happening eastbound just approaching the roosevelt boulevard. So, you want to watch for these delays. Weve seen speeds earlier just in the Single Digits. Were up to the teens at times on the schuylkill eastbound. Watch how slowly people are going by this accident scene approaching the boulevard so youre really slow at this point from conshohocken but then it really jams from belmont to the boulevard eastbound on the schuylkill expressway. A heavy delay. A 34 minute ride from the blue route to the vine already right now. I want to pull in the waze app right now because if youre trying come in, lets say from king of prussia and you stay on the schuylkill expressway, right now its a 51 minute ride. What you can do is take conshohocken state road, route 23, a 41 minute ride. Thats a much better way to come in. Try to avoid the schuylkill eastbound right now. And we can actually show you some of the speeds with that here on our big board. Were looking at at best about 13 miles an hour eastbound on the schuylkill especially heavy from belmont to the boulevard where we have that accident. But you could see how it really slows already approaching the conshohocken curve and then westbound youre no better than 15 miles an hour in that same area so really heavy. Weve seen some very slow speeds now on i95 southbound. Looking at 16 miles an hour so watch for slow speeds particularly heavy approaching cottman and then near girard as well. Weve had a couple of new accidents come in. This ones South Broad Street at allentown road. Thats a new accident as well as one on frankford and academy road so a couple of accidents outer there this morning. And i95 ive noticed quite a jamup here near cottman especially. Already a 34 minute ride from woodhaven to the vine even though no big weather related problems, 62 degrees right now in philadelphia. Headed up to 73 so its nice and mild this afternoon.
