As a recaution police evacuated the surrounding walmart and businesses. They cleared the scene and discovered that the threat was a hoax. No word on who called in that threat. Kathryn knott walked out of court after a mixed verdict she was accused of attacking a gay couple in center city. She was guilty on some charges, but innocent on others. Katherine scott complains. As much justice that can be done has been done. Reporter jury foreman said they did the best they could convicting Kathryn Knott on four misdemeanor accounts on the assault of a gay couple in center city. We are pleased with the verdict overall she was acquitted of all the felonies. She received more acquittals than convictions. Reporter knot the daughter of a suburban police chief was convicted of simple assault, two counts of Reckless Endangerment and conspiracy to commit simple assault. She was acquitted of aggravated assault. Assistant District Attorney said the victims are pleased with the decision. They said repeatedly in many situations they were not out for vengeance they were out to be recognized what happened, what happened they were attacked for who they were. This verdict recognizes that. Reporter back in september, 2014, knot was walking with a group of 15 people and an attack took place and left a man with a broken jaw. Several jurors said evidence supported her guilt, but the debate got heated over a conspiracy charge and in the end some had to make compromises to reach the verdict. We were getting nowhere debating what we were debating. We could have been a hung jury, but we decided that we needed to make a decision. I felt so bad for them, and this is so unnecessary, it never should have happened. It never should have happened. Reporter one of the Big Questions will Kathryn Knott face any jail time. Two employees at a south jersey special needs school have been charged with assaulting two students entrusted in their care. They worked at the bancroft campus in haddonfield. The 24 and 28yearold repeatedly hit a 14yearold boy with a leather belt and forced a 19yearold to crouch under a desk for hours at a time. The alleged abuse came to light when the school nurse noticed marks on the boys bodies. Brad roth is accused of stealing pills and cash from Evidence Room to feed a drug habit. He resign from the force, and Officials Say he will be treated just like any other defendant. Investigators think the crimes date back to 2012, but they only caught on earlier this year when items in the Evidence Room were empties platessed. Platessed misplaced.
