Septa said the union put a halt to the talks and the union said they were stone walking and will not apologize for fighting for Affordable Health care for their membered. And with that they are here in the hotel exchanging ideas. They gathered on the upper floors of the sheridan to get talks back on track. There is an agreement and progress is made. They are offering the union an enhance the pension plan and offsetting that septa says that union must pay more for their Cadillac Health care plan. It would escalate to 164 a month. And offering transport workers a salary bump. Average worker goes from 68,000 a year to 76,000 during the life of the deal. Hanging over the talks is the leverage the union has concerning election day turnout. Bob brady is the party chair, he talks but how it could impact turnout. Most of them really in walking distance. You have to get up early to go to work you dont have time to vote. You dont have time to vote . Im worrying about that. That is the concern of the congressm congressman. Obviously a big part of the democratic strategy to win pennsylvania. He is optimistic there will be a settlement here on election day and both sides are at the hotel and upstairs and exchanging ideas via a third party shuttle, diplomat going through the two sides trying to get the talks back on track. That was the first line that passed through barely dampening the ground and a second line to the north with the actual cold front now slicing through the Lehigh Valley kind of straddling along interstate 78 all the way from easton and as you head toward hamburg, those will continue to sink to the south quick heavy downpours with these and strong, gusty winds and if you close in here bethlehem and Market Street, the heavy downpour is sinking to the south there now and also sinking just to the south of interstate 22 there, just to the north of downtown allentown. If you look at the temperatures there, tropping to the north 70 in allentown and reading and lower 70s at Atlantic City airport. 73 there and 73 for dover. They did make it into the 80s before the first shower passed through in delaware and parts of new jersey today. There is the first line break ago part. Firefighters say that the body was still on fire when they arrived in West Passyunk at 2 30 this morning. The burns are so bad police cannot tell whether the body was that of a man or woman. A serial armed robber struck again in philadelphia for the sixth time in four days, the crime spree started on saturday, the same man robbed a Clothing Store and nail salon and two Dunkin Donuts in the same neighborhood. Drivers in Delaware County are going to see big changes on the township line corridor. More than 1,000 car crashes have occurred on the corridor between state road and Westchester Pike over the last three years. After two men died in separate crashes on the same day back in september. The state has now secured 1. 5 million for safety improvements. Beginning this spring crews will reduce lane sizes and add a center turning lane along the corridor to end rear end accidents. The Union Leaders representing the more than 4,000 striking septa workers accused septa of playing games rather than reaching a deal. Septa accused them of not uses good faith negotiations. Things dont look quite as bad as the last few days, offices out at penn hall are reporting heavy traffic they need to direct and heavy travel on the Regional Rails as well. A lot of people are trying to use them in lieu of the city services, a lot of them running a little bit behind. Maybe not quite as bad as the other afternoons, a lot of delays, 10 and 20 minutes at this point on the Regional Rails. On the big picture a bunch of accidents and delays, one involving an overturned vehicle in the torresdale section by academy and the lukoil station. And the schuylkill expressway has the normal afternoon problems 1 Miles Per Hour on the eastbound side close to girard avenue and a miserable morning along 95 with three separate accidents, this afternoon happy to report no accidents on 95. Just the typical afternoon volume close to allegheny avenue. Northbound side is starting to back up to cotman and the work zone and southbound backs down to the work zone at girard avenue. The delays are coming and going to 95 and then buck county on 95 there is of course construction again today at the scudder falls bridge. And in Lawrence Township a gas main break along 206 close to carter road. Traffic is kind of shifted. The lanes are shifted. And new jersey purpose took in mansfield township, cleaning up from an earlier crash the two left lanes of the out drive out of commission there. Well check it again in the 5 00 hour. Thank you. As we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan much of the area is cloudy and dry and we have the area of downpours just to the north sinking south of the Lehigh Valley right of cloud cover and areas were extremely warm today and 70 in reading and down to 63 in allentown after the downpours have passed through youll get a quick drop in temperature or so as those push through and a slower drop in temperature during the latter part of the overnight hours. As we look at satellite and radar the showers fall ago part and moving off the coast and a lot of clouds and the second area of rain passing through along a cold front and the clouds falling apart north of interstate 80, early spotty showers and gusty downpour and turning breezy late tonight and 50 for center city. And then that front is way to the south here on friday. Opening up the door to a very strong High Pressure that will bring a nice stretch of sunshine our way beginning tomorrow, 61 degrees so quite a step down from today and winds gusting to 30 Miles Per Hour. As we get into saturday the High Pressure remains in control and there is a trough an area of low pressure pushing through new england and barely moves through our area. And stays sunny on saturday and less wind with a temperature of 60 degrees, so seasonably cool for this time of year. The exclusive accuweather sevenday forecast sunny and windy tomorrow and the winds ease here on saturday, a nice start to the fall weekend of 60 degrees sun and a few clouds here on sunday and 62 degrees and on sunday as we look at the sunset tracker it sets at 4 52. As we lose the daylight during the latter part of the day with the clocks turning back an hour overnight. November 30th, it sets at 4 36 and starts to come back up on december 31 s still before 5 00 for a month or two.
