Youre looking at the temperatures through the region right now. 34 degrees in martins creek, 36 in warrington, its 34 in pottstown, so right now we are looking at temperatures and they are above freezing right now but thats a concern for today that were watching, that as those temperatures in the northwest dip, we could see the potential for some freezing rain in those areas. Center city its already 39 degrees so you know youre doing all right right there. Its 36 in hammonton, 34 degrees in vineland right now and 38 degrees in dover, delaware. Lets take a look right now at satellite6 and action radar. We see the clouds. We see some of the showers start to move in. Today is going to be a dreary day. Watching nor rain and periods of rain today, the freezing rain advisory in the Lehigh Valley until 10 oclock this morning. So today periods of rain, 45 degrees for your high with a southeasterly wind of five to 10 miles an hour. Its mild but youre not going to see any sun today matt pelman but were watching in areas to the north and west for the concerns for some slippery surfaces this morning. All right. Dry in the city right now and dry enough for some construction happening here along 95. Flashing lights, left lanes are blocked but the right lane is getting by with no delay at this point and northbound on 95 overnight construction has cleared out of the way. No overnight work here on the vine street expressway once again. All lanes opened between the schuylkill and broad street. I have a feeling theyre not doing the overnight complete closures this week. Doesnt look that way at least so right now youre good to go along 676, the vine street expressway. No issues on 76, the schuylkill expressway and the roosevelt boulevard, route one, is moving fine. Farther north on route one here in bucks county at Oxford Valley road we had a southbound closure overnight. Closures have been lifted so youre moving again in both directions here under the Oxford Valley road overpass. Construction going for the next half hour delaware. Couple lanes blocked along 95 northbound between churchmans road and 141. Also the ramp from the southbound side to 141 is blocked for overnight work. Again those restrictions near New Castle County should end in the next half hour. Tam. All right, thank you, matt. We begin with breaking news this morning. A fight between two coworkers in a bar in germantown ended in gunfire. One certain dead and the other is being interviewed by homicide detectives. Katherine scott is live now with more on what happened in this story. Good morning, katherineism good morning, tam. The bar manager was 44 years old. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. The armed uniformed Security Guard was the shooter according to police. He remained other scene, was taken into custody wasnt brought here to Police Headquarters to be interviewed. Lets go to video from that scene last night. Investigators were there gathering evidence. The call came in for 911 just before 11 00 p. M. For a person shot at sharons little spot on the 5600 block of boyer street. It happened in a back room for employees. The bar manager was shot twice in the torso once in the leg. He was conscious when police and medics arrived but it was pronounced dead at the hospital at research 22. There will be a simmering fight between the bar manager and the guard that erupted last night. Both were working at the time. The verbal altercation escalated and turned physical. The bar told police the bar manager came at him with a bottle and hit him on the head. The Guard Told Police he opened fire shooting the bar manager three times. When Police Arrived on location, the 28yearold Security Guard remained other oe scene. He was 99 custody by police. Police also took possession of his weapon. Reporter and there are no security cameras in the back room where this all took place. There was a bartender and there was a customer in the bar at the time. They were also taken here to Police Headquarters to be interviewed. Were live at Police Headquarters, katherine scott, channel6 action news. Katherine thank you for that. And also breaking this morning a man was shot multiple times in west philadelphia. Police found the man on the sidewalk just before 11 oclock last night near 58th and locust street. Investigators say the victim was unresponsive hadnt two gun shot wounds to the head and one in the leg. He was rushed to penn presbyterian hospital. Hes listed in Critical Condition. Police havent made any arrests and dont have a motive for this shooting. Investigators hope to nearby surveillance cameras will help them find suspect. From our delaware news room this morning, a man is in Critical Condition after he was shot multiple times in wilmington. It happened at around 12 30 this morning at the intersection of market and seventh street. Investigators say some of the bullets went through the windows of nearby businesses. At this time theres no word on suspects or motive and the victim has not yet been identified. The shooting comes after wilmingtons newly elected mayor mike purzyki loosened restrictions on i dont have time so the city can add patrols. Wilmington has already had more than a dozen shooting victims in the first two weeks of 2017. As part of the new initiative officers will also do Community Outreach with residents living in those high crime areas. A man shot by police in camden last week has died of his injuries. Jose Fernandez Ventura was charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault for what starter out as a Domestic Violence call. Police responded to an apartment on the 2700 block of Federal Street last wednesday. Officers say they saw Fernandez Ventura pint gun at a woman with an eight month old child in her lap and pull the trigger. Police then opened fire hitting Fernandez Ventura multiple times t he has since succumbed to his injuries. The woman was taken to the hospital and the baby involved was not hurt. Philadelphia police are investigating claims that many two men pretending to be officers tried to abduct a woman in the citys somerton section. The victim says it happened early this morning while she was walking along the 13,000 block of trevose road. She says two men identified themselves as police and tried to question her but they were not in uniform and never showed her a badge. Dozens of strangers filled a church in Montgomery County yesterday to remember grace packer. New life church in glenside felt compelled to give the 14yearold a dignified sendoff after learning of her horrific death. Authorities say grace was killed by her adoptive mother sara packer and the mothers boyfriend jacob sullivan. She was allegedly beaten and raped by sullivan as partly as r watched. Its not going to be a lot of rain but the Morning Hours are significant because in some areas temperatures are hovering near in freezing mark. Storm tracker6 live double scan shows the wider view and you get a sense that we are starting to have some rain move in to our southern regions but its areas up to the north that give us the concern and thats where we have that freezing rain advisory. We go ina little tighter than this and were looking northwest at this point of reading where the temperatures are currently sitting around that freezing mark. So, right now its really near i81 where youre dealing with some of the freezing rain. But we expect this could happen in the Lehigh Valley as we continue to see those temperatures drop this morning. Lets go on outside and show you what it looks like right now as sky6 looks live on the ben franklin bridge. The temperature in philadelphia already at 39 degrees. So, we know its just going to be plane rain through most of the region. The dewpoint is 30 degrees, the atmosphere nearly saturated, the pressure is falling with low pressure drawing near and the winds are calm. Lets show you that freezing rain advisory. Until 10 oclock this morning for the Lehigh Valley and areas of the poconos, in allentown nreading, you need to be careful as the temperatures continue to dip and we think they could dip right around that freezing mark. And it is rain as its coming down and thats because of the warmer air in the upper levels of the atmosphere but once you goat 2,000, 3,000 feet thats where the temperatures near the surface are at the freezing level so thats what makes it look like rain but then it just freezes and sticks to the surfaces and becomes a thin glaze and thats really the most difficult area to travel in. Were not seeing anything wide suppressed radar showing showers starting to move. There was were seeing more significant rain out to the west. This is that same system that plagued the plains with those ice storms. That area of low pressure is going to track up to the north and east, as it does it draws more mild air in our region and thats why for most of us its just rain but future tracker showing at 6 oclock this morning this model picking up an area of freezing rain near the Lehigh Valley and thats why we have that freezing rain advisory until 10 oclock this morning. But not seeing a lot of rain. This is a look at 1 oclock in the afternoon m rain here or there. Gets a little heavier in the afternoon and evening hours as the kids are coming home from school or youre heading home from work it may be heavier at times. In the evening some spotty rain here there but its enough to make it a dreary day, your high about 45 degrees. Looks like the steadiest rain will be later in the day. And then tomorrow this cool front moves through but no real cool air behind it. Mostly cloudy skies.
