Well call it partly sunny with parts of the day potentially changing to mostly sunny skies. 66 degrees by 9 oclock. 70 by 11 oclock, 74 by 1 oclock and then 79 degrees by 3 oclock and were going to go for a high of 80 today. And that will be right at around 4 oclock this afternoon. Few more clouds build in tomorrow and then some rain is possible on thursday. As were hitting the roads right now were dry but weve got some construction crews doing their job on 202 southbound between 401 and route 30. We have overnight construction with the lane belonged you see some traffic getting by at this point though just watch for that. On the vine street expressway we still have it closed in both directions for overnight construction. Both ways blocked. It should be reopened by 5 00 a. M. So the vine still closed now. Got another about half hour and that should reopen. I95 southbound at street road weve got the right lane blocked for overnight construction here as well so the crews still out there but were looking fine on the boulevard. We are starting this morning following breaking news. Philadelphia police are searching for a driver, this person slammed into a young woman who was walking across the roosevelt boulevard and then kept going. The victim was thrown about 200 feet and killed. Action News Reporter annie mccomic is live now at the scene near adams and the boulevard in the citys somerdale section with more. Good morning, annie. Reporter good morning, tam l it happened right behind me here at adams and the boulevard. In fact you can see the crosswalk where police say this victim was crossing. She had the light. When out of nowhere a minivan came speeding through, hit her, tossed her in the air and then took off. Well, take a look at this video. This is video from the scene. It was 11 30 last night when police say the woman had the green light and was using the crosswalk when the vehicle went through a red light. The pedestrian was on her phone while she was walking. Accident investigators found her belongings scattered on the roadway. Theyre still working to i. D. The woman who appears to be about 19 or 20. That is the victim t witnesses say the force of the crash sent that victim into the front window of the minivan, then she was violently thrown into the air. Her body went rolled onto the hood of this vehicle, she hit her head on the windshield and her body was lifted and traveled about two lunn feet in a northern direction after being struck and thats where she landed on adams avenue at the boulevard. Reporter and the minivan that police are looking for they say was last seen headed east on adams. Now, its about a 10 to 15yearold minivan, white or silver. It is going have Severe Damage on it, on the windshield and also on the hood of the minivan. Police say if you have any information, theyre urging that driver to turn themselves in. It happened just before 1 00 this morning on the 300 block of south street. Philadelphia police say the driver lost control, hit the pedestrian, then crashed into the primeau hoagie shop. The four pedestrians suffered leg and arm injuries and are in serious but stable condition. Coming up at 5 00 a. M. Well have more on the driver in a live report from the scene. Developing overnight, police in Chester County captured an accused killer ending a multi state manhunt. Officials say eric chute was wanted for the shooting death of and three people in west virginia. Police put out an alert saying chute is originally from cumberland county. He was arrested in Chester County. President obama will travel to orlando on thursday after the deadly mass shooting at a gay nightclub. The pain of this massacre hits especially close to home for the west catholic Prep Community in philadelphia. 18yearold akyra murray was killed in the massacre. She had just graduated and was spending time in florida with friends and family. She was a basketball standout helping west catholic win the city championship this year. Just last week she signed her letter of intender to play basketball at mrs. See hurts college on a full scholarship. The principal and others say akyra was not only a star athlete but a beloved and bright young woman. People gathered at Philadelphia City hall to remember the victims of the orlando massacre. The soon last night like so many other vigils being held around the region and hackie across the globe. Hundreds attended a candlelight vigil on the banks of the Delaware River near the bucks county playhouse in new hope. They read the names of the victims before holding a moment of silence. Organizers say they wanted to stand against violence and hatred. Police say the victim was hit by the suv shortly after 10 00 last night and pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have not yet said who is to blame. New this morning, one person was killed when this fire broke out in a Southern California building believed to be vacant. Flames tore through the two Story Office Building near Downtown Los Angeles last night. A city fire spokesman said at least five unauthorized people were inside the structure. Police are interviewing one of the occupants calling him a person of interest. It took nearly 150 firefighters to contain the flames. Newly released dashcam video shows a fiery crash along the new mexico highway. A Police Officer stopped to help a stranded driver back on may 28th.
