The mother got out, Good Samaritans were assisting as fire crews moved in. Fire department arrived, we have a Police Officer who lives across the street off duty, attempted to make a rescue, but was driven back by fire and smoke. It was horrible. She was coming back black from head to toe, she couldnt breathe. She was covered in soot. It was an aggressive interior attack and rescue effort we rescued the child from the back back room in the building. The mother and child were transported to the hospital. Reporter crews got the fire under control and it did not spread to nearby homes. The cause is under investigation.
