Three members of a Burlington County family is dead and the tragedy is the result of a murdersuicide. Janet reyes is live now. Investigators are still searching for a motive in this crime . Reporter yes rick at this point that is still unknown. Probably the biggest question they are working to answer xg but we talked to a lot of neighbors they say they were just talking about the most recent murder suicide and never imagined it would happen next door. Neighbors on sun flower circle knew something wasnt right when Police Showed up last night asking about the johnson family. The Police Officer came by and said the family was reported missing burling town Township Police were responding to a welfare check at this home and officers didnt know what to expect. Hours into the night they would visit neighbors again with stern instructions. Around 1 30 a. M. , they knocked on the door, pounded on the door and rang the door bell over and over, and said move to the other side of the house, because there was a possibility of gun fire. There was no hail of gun fire and no victims to rescue or suspect to arrest. Just a gruesome scene. The Burlington County producer says that before turning the gun on himself Ruben Johnson jr. Killed his wife and young son. Fred says he may have heard the gun fire. I heard what sounded like explosions in the far distance. And although authorities tell us there is not much more to say about the facts of the murdersuicide. Neighbors wonder how it could have gotten to that point. Its upsetting, they were a beautiful family and its a tragedy. Coming back out live to us, you can see all of these cars outside of the home, we see a steady stream of Family Members come in and offer their condolences, and they declined to talk to the media. We learned the name of the boy, he was affectionally known as trey johnson and his sister the only Family Member left, she says her heart is broke and saying she lost her two best friends her mother and brother. Esther palmer died after the car she was riding in was struck by a vehicle that ran a headlight. They are looking into whether the 17yearold driver was racing a third car that left the scene. The car made a quick right and palmers mother was treated and released from the hospital and the girls grandmother remains in critical condition.
