Reporter jim, if you can take a look behind me you will see that fire has been put out, within the past minutes fire crews just stopped putting water on that building but you can still see some smoke billowing from the top of it. Let me show you what this looked like within the past hour, chopper six on the scene, just after this fire broke out around 9 30 this evening. We understand fire started in building 39 here. Now each building has about eight units. From what we can tell from the ground here all eight units have been damaged in some way. Got news is that we do understand that everyone got out okay from what we can tell right now, but we understand one person has been taken to the hospital. Witnesses just told us what they saw including a dramatic rescue of the dog. I saw the whole building, in flames, the front building, probably going up, and 20 or 30 feet above the roof. The gentlemen i think who was upstairs, was in there and as soon as it looked like it was partially out, the Fire Fighters started to point to a porch and they move the ladder and then his dog made his way out on the porch. They carried the dogs down and it seemed to be alive. Reporter truly amazing story there. As we said one person we believe was taken to the hospital, we are still working to try to get more details about that. In fact im waiting right new to speak with the fire chief to get more details about this fire, how it started and at this point how it started and who was involved in this. This Surveillance Video shows the thieves, smashing and grabbing their way to 400,000 in merchandise, from barski diamond on sansom street at 3 30 saturday morning. And these are particularly insidious crimes, law men call them virtual kidnappings and there has been an epidemic of them in camden over the past month but there is nothing virtual about the ransoms. Reporter fake kidnapping start with the frantic call from an unfamiliar person, saying someone you know has been kidnaped and is in danger unless you pay a ransom. The that is exactly what happened with one woman we spoke with. He just kept calling me and threatening my doubt ther what he would to to her if i didnt follow instructions. Reporter no worry for her safety this woman asked we conceal her identity. Caller told her he kidnaped his daughter and wanted a thousand dollars for her safe return. He convinced me to follow his instructions, and, do exactly what he said, or he will blow my daughters brain away. Reporter victim was instructed to stay on the phone as he western to a western unit and wired him money. She wired him 800 which was all she had in the bank account. Man hung up. She then made contact with her daughter and realized that she had been scammed. She really did just do a good job on me. I felt stupid. But difficult what i thought, you know, i did what i thought was right, to protect my daughter. Reporter police say there have been 17 such casings in camden since january 24th. Fbi calls them virtual kidnappings and they seem real. They use social media to learn about their victims where they live, places where they visit, friend, family. The fbi says it has seen a increase in these types of calls across the country, often the scammers are operating overseas using phony accounts and can be very difficult to trace. And there are also very practiced at the art of the intimidation. His voice is horrible. It is scary. He did a good job convincing me of that. Reporter add rise from police. They should not be sending out, paying out any money to anyone. Again, just write down the number, immediately terminate the call and phone the police department.
