Kind of a catch22 but we will see more sunshine than yesterday, even though we saw highs in the 70s we didnt see abundance of sunshine, cloudy conditions, sun at times but today looks to be more sunny albeit cooler. This is 6 to 10 hour rain fall. Wind out of the west, that will push all the rain out of the way. We wont see anymore additional rain. The organizations say the roads are having a crippling affect on the economy. Were looking at a drier set up but it will be drier and cooler wednesday. We are seeing the cool down, the skies clearing out. Most of the rain fall will be west of the city, at the airport up to 0. 41 in newberry, a good total but nothing off the charts by any means. Most areas under a half inch winds likely to continue out of the west and northwest later today and that will continue to bring us cooler and drier air. Rochelle taking a look at some of the other stories making headlines in the midlands a Richland County sheriffs deputy and, former gamecock is out of a job this morning after sheriff leon lott fired him and had him arrested, for stealing a piece of tape. Eric kaleb broome is a deputy without a mark to his record, hes actually been recognized by the department for exemplary work. But all of that changed when Deputy Broome defaced a poster allegedly and stole a piece of doublesided tape, while responding to a domestic disturbance call. Sheriff lott says a ten cent theft is still a theft. Deputy kaleb broome threw that oath in the trash that day when he took that piece of tape and cut it off and stuck it in his pocket and took it and put it in his patrol car and, for that, hell have to pay the price. Eric that price up to a year in prison. The sheriff says broome is out of jail on a 10,000 personal recognizance bond. To see if hed like to share his side of the story. We have yet to hear back. Rochelle Columbia Police say charles byrd was served a warrant yesterday for the 2013 murder of Willie Gilmore at a home on bailey street. Cayce chief Charles Mcnair announced his retirement after more than 40 years of service to his hometown. Mcnair began his career as a firefighter in cayce in 1974.
