Laura oh, yeah. This morning were attempting to get onto the shoreway. This is what we want to do today and work through it. This is what were sitting at right now. Ill flip the camera around so you can get a good look. Road closed signs are all over the area of the west shoreway. You can still get on the west shoreway and take it really the entire route. Its just those ramps that get you onto it that look different. And lake boulevard, lake boulevard the regular on ramp for west siders that want the west shoreway, that ramp is closed and was closed last week on thursday. Now they have at West Boulevard made it so you use the old lake avenue, the exit ramp has now turned into twoway traffic. You see in a moment as we get on the ramp here where we drive for a bit, and theres only going to be one lane each direction. So ride with me as we take this exactly what we will see. Hopefully we make it to where we see the bridge construction. See how the lanes narrow down here . We get down to just two lanes of traffic each direction as mentioned. You can imagine how this gets very, very dense with traffic later on. Right now its still very early. 6 05 right now. Very early in the morning. You see the issues you will deal with and how you deal with it off to the side here. Theyre welding down here on the bridge. Theyre going to work down there for about 25 days to get this done. This is going to be two lanes like this for the next 25 days from all the way near lake avenue clear to west 73rd. Throughout the morning today, we will work through this. Well drive back and forth several times and see it more dense with traffic as the morning progresses more, and well look at other things. I want to let all the west de on west 110th. We have new information on the tragic death of a 12yearold boy at a water park in kansas. The autopsy is complete for caleb schwab. Police are telling us that the little boy suffered a fatal neck injury. He was one of three riders on the worlds tallest water slide when something went wrong. We are asking who is ultimately responsible for the safety of the riders. Its up to the states and the local communities to really oversee these operations, these water parks. It really is the responsibility of the water park operators to make sure every ride that they offer to the public is safe. Brian heres what else we found out about this water slide. Each rider has to be 54 inches tall, 4 1 2 feet. Between the three riders on each 400 to 550 poundpounds. He was on his raft with two adult womens. They both survived. Its fair seen. Last week it was Medina County and this week its Cuyahoga Countys fair. We want to make sure the rides are actually safe. All rides are inspected by the department of agriculture at the beginning of the season to get an initial license. Then each ride goes through at least one more inspection the season, and if the problem is severe, the ride cannot operate until it is fixed. In every amusement park, not just county fairs. This includes cedar fopoint. Theyre supposed to do daily checks. Speaking of cedar point, top thrill dragster roller corer is back and running this morning. It closed for inspection after a cable came loose. Two riders were checked out by medics, but they were deemed to away from the browns kicking off the preseason in green bay against the packers. Expectations are not too high for this rebuilt team, and the new madden nfl video game agrees. For those not familiar, each team in the game against an overall rating. The top rated team is the new england patriots. They come in at an 87. The bottom of the list, the worst in the league according to madden is the cleveland browns. They have a 73 rate. But they do not plahe a video game. Any play the game on the field. Browns have a lot to prove. This happened in june when the 2yearold nebraska boy was playing in the surf just off the shore. The family decided not to file a another case of zika virus popped up in south florida. The person recently traveled to the community where at least 16 other people are infected right now by the virus.
