Lets talk about why it is so important to help adopt the little puppies and the dogs, too. Well adoption of course is very important to all of us. There are millions of animals that end up in shelters every single year because there is no place for them to go. The important thing about going to a shelter, though, is also the fact that they will get their initial vaccinations and typically for most shelters will going home so that they dont continue that cycle of unwanted puppies in homes. Laura gotcha. And also the fostering program. These are actually they came from a foster family. You have them with a foster family right now. Thats how they got their names. So we have cheesy, a. K. A. Kramer. We have comet and conner. They got the names from one of the children in our foster homes. Fostering is really important. These puppies raised in a shelter environment oftentimes wouldnt be as hell they as if they were raised in a home. Our foster families open up their homes, they foster them sometimes between two weeks and sometimes as long as six or eight weeks until they are ready to find a forever home. We are always looking for good foster homes. It is an important part of our program at friendship a. P. L. Q what would be the ideal family situation to adopt . Laura yours. Q [laughter] i typically find that kids between the ages ever 7 and 12 raising a puppy. They are old enough to get involved in the care of the puppy. They understand what they are doing and it is a really good learning lesson for children. And i find they are also my best foster families have kids that age as well. When you have very little kids theyen can be a little too rough, they can play a little too much and handle them. We want to carry em this around like babies and a two or threeyearold might want to which can be kind of frightening for them. Older kids really get a big value out of raising a puppy. Laura tell us real quickly when they will be available for adoption. They should be available on friday. Should go up for spaying and neutering tomorrow and be available on friday. That would be when they would be going up. And you will have to be there at 11 00. Check our website for more information to find out when they are available.
