Theres a cold front coming through tonight, and the temperatures drop about ten degrees tomorrow. And this Holiday Weekend couldnt be better. Great for the jersey shore in the 70s on saturday, warming back up to the 80s, though, on monday. Across long island, same deal for you. Youll start out in the 70s on saturday, right around 80 for daytime highs, sunday and labor day. With low humidity, and the same north and west, too. Does get hot, though, as we get towards the end of the weekend. So, yes, the heat is coming back. Ill have more about that and were tracking a couple of thunderstorms out there right now. The Health Commissioner there saldys conserving water now will help ensure the county doesnt run into trouble this fall or early winter. Well, the latest case in the city is proving to be quite a mystery today. The mayor and his Health Commissioner admitted they are not sure where the victim got infected. News 4 has the details from the bronx. Lori . Reporter the most recent victim being treated here. The mayor says its not clear if the case is connected to the recent outbreak or an isolated incident. But he says the city is taking precautions to keep residents from getting sick. I dont trust the hot water now. Reporter she has no hot water in her apartment here at the melrose houses. But thats the least of her worries. A little scare. I have a son who is handicap. Reporter tested positive for the bacteria. Today the Health Department began installing these water filters to keep residents safe. This is a preliminary test result. The actions taken in 681 courtland avenue are from an abundance of caution. In the last six months, there have been four cases of legionnaires in this housing complex, the most recent last week. The victim still in the hospital. City Officials Say two of the cases were connected to the recent outbreak. That originated at the hotel. But they cant say for sure where this latest one came from. May have been caused by a different source because as everyone knows, there are hundreds of legionnaires cases in new york city each year. During the outbreak, more than 160 building sin the bronx were tested. The 12 that came back positive were disinfected. Today, the Health Department handed out pamphlets warning residents about the bacteria. Yes, i just got it. We were tracking a big thunderstorm just north. This has dissy pay ipated to a couple of sprinkles. It was up to about 55,000 feet. Its definitely winding down. And weakening as it drips southward toward walker valley. Thats really all thats out there right now. Couple in eastern pennsylvania are drifting southward. Not in our immediate area, but this is part of a cold front thats sliding southward across the area. As it does, itll bring lower temperatures, lower humidity for the next few days. And eventually, some dry weather, too, for the Holiday Weekend. We need the rain, but not much going on except in the morning. Now, tonight, it is quiet across the region. This front, though, is going to stall out, right over long island in the city in the morning, so there could be some isolated downpours that will develop during the morning commute right along that front. Right now, were saying watch out, babylon, parts of nassau county, queens, brooklyn, the city and points to the west in the morning from 8 00 until about 11 00 in the morning. Thunderstorms may explode across the area as they drift westward from the city westward. So this is about 10 00 in the morning. And were talking possibly up to a couple of inches of rain. You can see most areas are dry. Not a whole lot going on tomorrow. With that front coming through. But, like i said, possibly up to a couple of inches, maybe more in just some isolated locations tomorrow afternoon or by tomorrow afternoon. But this is mainly going to happen in the morning. Judge Richard Berman noted in a 40page decision today that brady had no notice he could be suspended for four games for being generally aware of ball deflation. The judge also took up with the attempt to equate deflating the football to using performance enhancing drugs.
