A spokeswoman says the College System was making payments on a project by check, but it was recently asked to pay through an electronic funds transfer instead. The system was told that the funds would be paid through an Organization Called automated clearing house. But it later discovered that the organization is a fraud, and the funds never made it to the today at a construction site in bow where two workers were injured in an accident yesterday. The men were working at the new Public Safety complex project when a roof support came crashing down. Town Officials Say the workers were installing wooden roof trusses when one buckled, bowed, and fell on them, knocking them to the ground. The men were taken to Concord Hospital with serious, but nonlifethreatening injuries. One had a broken leg and mild concussion. A couple stitches and, um, he bruised his elbow. A private donor is footing a hefty bill to make sure the citys Police Officers are equipped with body cameras.
