really hitting home with fellow police officers. portz joined the department when he was 22 years old. he leaves behind a wife and three children including a baby. it was wednesday morning when the and officer portz slammed into the truck. he was taken to shock trauma but couldn't be revived. he worked out of the western district and well-known and well liked and played on the city police hockey they found the meth lab-side a closet that may be responsible for some very pont methamphetamine popping up on the streets. police also found assault rifles, grenade launcher and homemade silencers things up, skies try to at least give us bright spots of sun and there will be a few scattered showers. tonight, once we clear things out, dropping back to around 40 which means 30s north and west of the beltway which means this could be scattered frost by daybreak. tomorrow a. blustery day. strong winds over 20 miles per hour. sunny to partly cloudy sky and high of 59. lows 37. better chance of frost more widespread by saturday morning. saturday afternoon 68. and by sunday, 72. and sunday should be a dry day but it's sunday evening and night when the rain rolls in and will stay in the low minutes away from six and five people were shot in dallas last night. witness say somebody inside a dark colored suv opened fire in the victims near an intersection and took off. some of the people shot did manage to get into a nearby home to call for help. victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. police found a vehicle that may be linked to the shooting abandoned near the scene. a 16-year-old and his mother are in jail charged in connection with explosives that injured four people. this happened in north carolina. two days after an exploding pen injured a fellow stewed antihigh school, police found another explosive at the home of 16-year-old jesse barringos. three firefighters were examining bomb make material when it exploded injuring them. family members say the teen says
