the anne arundel county teen who died from complications from h1n1. brooks' parents say he came down with what appeared to be a cold, it got worse quickly. he was hospitalized and that's when doctors told his parents that walter brooks had the swine flu. brooks' funeral will be held at 11:00 at the heritage community church in severn today. president barack obama continues to insist he will not rush a new strategy decision on afghanistan. and the white house is not dropping hints on when it might happen. a spokesperson declined to say how soon obama might act or even if he'll wait for the only in the upper 50s. as we look at the northeast corner of the beltway at harford road you can see traffic still light and moving nicely, no problems on the inner loop or outer loop on 695. looking pretty good on the tunnels as well. southbound on the harrisburg expressway no problems to report and 95 looks good. but the crashes are beginning to come in. i'm getting word of another crash northbound on the bw parkway at route 175, use caution there. earlier police activity that we had at south highland street at east baltimore street, i'm getting word it's just about cleared away so you can probably get through that intersection in a few minutes. still working a crash in howard county southbound route 29 at the baltimore national pike and another crash in hanover has route 170 at elm road closed. so use caution as you head out for the commute this morning. as we look at the jfx at cold spring lane traffic is moving about pretty nicely in both the southbound and northbound
