Well have the first warning complete weekend forecast in just a couple of minutes. Thank you marty. Heres a look at the stories people are talking about this morning. A u. S. Air marshal is out on bail after admitting to a shocking crime on board an airplane. As Rochelle Ritchie explains, the man was on the clock when he was caught secretly snapping pictures under passengers skirts. 28yearold adam bartsch from Anne Arundel County runs from news cameras after he is released from jail on 10,000 bail after a man caught him taking inappropriate pictures of women on a plane. And he pressed a button and took three or four pictures. Police say it happened on board southwest flight 3132 departing from nashville. As the women walked pat bartschs seat a witness says he saw him use a cell phone camera to take pictures underneath their skirts. The average person is looking forward because theyre looking for a seat. Theyre not focusing on the guys hand sticking out a little bit and taking the picture. The witness grabbed the phone and turned it over to a flight attendant. We tried to talk to bartsch at his home. Neighbors say his actions show a lack of respect for his pox and the lives he was hired to protect. Thats a lot of responsibility and yeah, i was totally shocked by that. You wouldnt expect that from a person in that position. Officials would not go on camera but released this statement saying tsa does not tolerate criminal behavior. The agency has removed this individual from his current duties. Very little is known about bartsch. Neighbors tell us he has a wife and child and appeared to be a model citizen with credibility. Thats inappropriate. If i want to wear a dress, i shouldnt be worried if someones going to be looking up there. Bartsch admits he took about a dozen photos. Im Rochelle Ritchie wjz Eyewitness News. And bartsch heads back to court next month. Meanwhile in the city, police are searching for the gunman who shot a man just a few blocks from Johns Hopkins hospital. It happened yesterday evening in the 2,000 block of orleans street. An unknown suspect fired several shots hitting a 22year old man. The victim died a short time later. No arrests have been made and police dont know what sparked the shooting. In new york a long island man is accused and arrested in an alqaeda terror plot. The fbi says 23yearold marcos zaia tried to travel to yemen to join the terrorist group and conspired from the u. S. Federal agents raided his home friday morning but say he has been under surveillance since 2011. The port of baltimore is back open for business. Union leaders say they reached an agreement to end a 3 day strike. As linh bui explains, that deal wont last for long. Good morning. Several issues were on the table ranging from safety to wages but friday evening a resolution was reached. The port of baltimore comes back to life after three days on the picket line for these long shoremen. As we speak theyre back on the ships. We had ships in the harbor waiting to go to work anxious to be unloaded. The International Long shoremen associations local 333 and the Steamship Trade Association agreed to a 90 day cooldown. Negotiations will continue but long shoremen can get back to work immediately. Its a winwin for everybody. After 90 days there could be a strike but the union is confident theyll reach a fair contract. Id rather work. Believe me. Its much easier to work than to go on strike. The port of baltimore is the 9th largest in the nation and has a 6 billion impact on maryland. It would have had a massive impact on the street. Keep this economy going, definitely great for the state of maryland, residents here. The port reopens at a critical time with a busy Holiday Season right around the corner. The Maryland Port Administration released a statement saying they are pleased with this resolution, that its good for everyone who works at the port and theyre glad to put this situation behind us. Reporting linh bui wjz Eyewitness News. That is good because the port of baltimore handles about 30 milliontons of cargo every year. An under under armour store in Anne Arundel County will reopen this morning following a gas leak. They were forced to evacuate the store in curtis bay yesterday. Firefighters believe crews were working on the heating system when they may have hit a line there. Holding a grudge month after the new gas tax, drivers say they still dont like it. As pat warren explains, a new poll finds that that sentiment could bring big changes in next years election. In one mans opinion. It sucks. An opinion shared by a majority of marylanders who on july 1st sought a gas tax increase to 0. 27 a gallon. Its ridiculous. Near 76 of voters disapprove. Im not happy with it at all. A little more than 21 do approve the. A couple extra penny in exchange for much better roads and bridges is really a good way to spend our money. 2. 6 had no answer. The degrees of disapproval were also polled. I think its the worst thing they could do, especially with the situation that people are in today. Like 59 strongly disapprove of the tax. 60. 8 somewhat disapprove. It angers me but i understand that we do need money for other projects but im almost i dont care anymore. And because taxes are always ammunition in an election year, more than half of democrats, nearly three quarters of republicans and twothirds of independences are thumbs down on the tax and the people who raised it. Theyre deliberately putting more burden on people than what is necessary. Nobodys listening. Theyre just doing their own thing and as far as im concerned, we need to get rid of the whole lot of them. Additional increases approved this year will drive the tax up to 0. 42 a gallon by 2016. Pat warren wjz Eyewitness News. And aaa says overall marylanders are paying about 0. 36 less than the same time last year because of less demand and plentiful supply. Onehalf of the world series is set after a blowout game in st. Its one of the biggest rivalries in the nfl, the ravens versus the steelers. Everybody in baltimore knows the steel town show down is tomorrow. Mark viviano has more on the big matchup. Good morning. The ravens are coming off that tough loss to the Green Bay Packers last sunday, and in talking to the team this week, it is evident that theyre tired of answering questions about whats wrong. Theyre anxious to show that they have the right answers when they play at pittsburgh on sunday. Football is a game of adjustments and this week at practice the raven says theyre adjusting their game plan on offense, trying to get ray rice in the running game in gear because the yardage has been minimal and a 3 and 3 record isnt good enough. You cant keep doing the same exact thing and you cant keep doing whatever youre doing the same way. Weve got to change all that. Weve got to keep going. Weve got to win. More than anything thats whats more important right now. The ravens will be without linebacker josh bines sunday. Jamel mcclain is listed as probable and could play for the first time in a game. Ravens and steelers on sunday at 4 15 live right here. The season may be underway but you can still sign up for the 2013 pro football challenge. To compete, just go to cbsbaltimore. And that is not a sentiment that i have alone. I think it depends on who you and too. I was on kdka radio in pittsburgh yesterday, i was on their morning and afternoon show and i threw that comment out to them and they wholeheartedly agreed. Okay. Pittsburgh steelers, it all goes out the window. Weve got things to do, thats what it is. Things to do outside. Will we be able to do it outside now. You have things to do. And thats watching the pittsburgh steelers, getting angry about the fact you even have to look at anything any of gods reaches dressed in black and gold.
