This is our community and we respect the community. Reporter some clergy members are critical saying citizens dont trust politicians or police officers. It happened during the Independence Day parole. Witnesses say Kyle Aldridge was getting off a moving trailer when he he fell and was run over. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. According to the capital newspaper, donations can be sent to the joseph brown funeral home here in baltimore city. A series of bear encounters have some neighborhoods worried. A black ber was killed on an interstate. Linh bui explains why they are more frequent. Reporter a car struck this juvenile black bear sunday. The young male was halfway across the interstate. His injuries were so severe officers had to euthanize him. The back end of the bear wasnt moving. You could see there was damage. Then the decision was made to put it out of its misery. It was suffering. Reporter biological Jonathan Mcknight says the bear population is expanding and the bears are looking for new habitats. They can travel up to 50 miles a day. This bear was captured and released in western maryland. This bear visited a gaithersburg home. He munched on bird seed for 30 minutes. Do not feed them. Its especially bad to leave food out or feed them. Once bears get climb my advertised to feeding and people they become dangerous and that is dangerous for them. Even though they are young bears, they are big. They can vary between 65 and 200 pounds. The best thing you can do is leave them alone. They shouldnt present danger to people. Stay away from them. How are you doing today . Im doing really good. And you are very right about that. I have a new teen driver in my family. My stepson is 17. He just got his permit. You hear the statistics about car crashes being the number one killer of teens and that first year after they get the license being the most dangerous time of the teens life. Its so scary to hear. Thats why im so excited to be a part of this campaign. Im learning as a parent everything i need to be teaching my stepson tyler and how important it is to get him in the car, for him to get experience, the drive at home initiative, the all state foundation as well as the National Safety council created drive at home. All state has talked to kids. Over 50 of the kids want that time in the car with their parents so that they can feel more comfortable and the parents, they discovered that two thirds of the parents they talk to wish they had spent more time in the car with their kids going over high risk situations like snow, rain or passengers in the car that can be distracting. So, high risk situations that you need to go over and help them gain experience so that these statistics can go down as far as teen car crashes. The Little Things, my second son when i was teaching him, he had no idea about the rearview mirrors until i told him to change mirrors and he did without looking in a mirror. We take it for granted. Its so scary and its just because they dont know. They dont have the experience. Thats one of the things that the web site will tell you scanning, using your side mirrors and your rearview mirror.
