Senator john mccain said compromise is in the countrys best interest. I think the American People will be done a great disservice. Next month, congress has to determine whether or not to raise the debt ceiling moments ago, president obama spoke about the budge battle. He said the House Republicans know what they need to do. Commuters that take interstate 83 north are hoping for an easier drive home tonight after a massive crash should down the highway yesterday. Around this time yesterday, a massive 10 car pileup near the maryland state line backed up traffic more for miles and left several people injured. It happened over the pennsylvania line near the loganville exit. A flat bed truck was one of the vehicles involved, here is how the driver of that truck described a terrifying scene. All of a sudden, i felt a hard bang and was being pushed forward and the truck flipped over. And it took emergency workers hours to clear the scenes, you can see from sky eye chopper 13, they shut down 83 northbound. Seven people were hurt in the crash, all of them, though, are expected to recover. In prince georges county, eight rotc students recovering after being hit by a car in their High School Parking lot. The students were practicing military marching. Police say the sun may have gotten into the eyes of a 19 yearold driver who hit them. That driver is charged with negligent driving, all eight students are expected to be okay. A mere tragedy in the skies, foreface jerry s and crew of a United Airline flight as the pilot had a heart attack in the middle of the flight. A crisis in the air for united flight 1603. A spokesman said boeing 737 left houston heading to seattle. Shortly after 8 00, the crew asked if there was a doctor onboard. Then, the plane made an Emergency Landing in boise, idaho. I thought it was a passenger, more nerve wrecking to see it was the pilot. United airline said the captain of the plane suffered a heart attack. At least two passengers rushed to help to give him cpr. Several people helped. Some people helped to give him cpr all the way down and then when they got the emts on there and got him off. Reporter there were 161 passengers and a crew of six on the plane. Passengers say the situation was tense, but no one panicked. The copilot started to fly the plane and eventually landed. Emts came onboard. They did two more rounds of cpr. Tragically, that pilot died. The airline is not releasing his name, citing privacy reasons in the wake of the Washington Navy yard shooting. Thousands of employees are getting help coping with the after math of the massacre, counselors have helped more than 6,000 employees, it has been 10 days since a gunman killed 12 people. The man was taken to the hospital with just a minor head injury. A short time ago, a new jersey judge ruled that the state must allow same sex couples to marry. The judge said now that the federal government recognizes gay marriage, not doing so in new jersey could violate the constitution.
