>> i think not only one of the best schools, but one of the best conferences has been the pac-12. i think arizona hiring rich rodriguez was an outstanding out of the park home run. he's a proven offensive coach. that community and those coaching staffs and those kids really want an opportunity to win. they break ground on a $7 million facility coming up, so they're finally giving them the support that they need. i think that hire puts a lot of pressure on the other pac-12 schools. >> >> he can be a pirate or a weatherman part-time. then i think it's going to be a tough chance. but kevin sum lynn officially hired as a head coach at texas a&m. that will be a challenge, because i believe about half the constituency. i'm told it made it really tough for him. that deal was done as far back as a week ago. that wasn't the driving reason. the driving reason behind that was a constituency. a faction in there didn't want him to be the head coach. >> that was sort of the she loves me, she loves me not choice. i think larry fedora, who won that game, was a huge winner getting that north carolina opportunity. listen, i'm going to also tell you that when you look at the arizona state and penn state situations, we're talking about domino jobs. ok, either one of these positions is going to cause a domino effect. i don't know that penn state, given the circumstances, can get a desirable replacement for joe paterno. >> and there's an argument to be made that they shouldn't do that. there's no reason they couldn't get urban meyer and replace one iconic coach with another one. i think that penn state needs to hire a guy maybe from the f.c.s. level that is a good guy that can come in and get that program going and at some point if it doesn't work out, then go for your big-name guy and get back to what the football playing is going to be at that school. >> i don't know any elite school in america right now that has the credentials to coach there. >> what about mullen at mississippi state? >> i think it would be an uphill challenge to deal with what they've got to deal with. you're talking about civil suits. that's going to be tough. >> i will tell you the arizona state job, though, look at what that situation with june jones was all about. that was a crazy thing to watch transpire. >> there are a lot of people that are unhappy with the job that she's doing. >> let's go out to tracy, who's with navy's alexander teich. tracy? >> you just had that trophy in your hand. how did it feel hoisting that up? >> it was very emotional. everything that we've gone through as a senior class for the last five years. this season alone has been a trip. it made it all better. all those wounds have been hurting for a while now. it fixed them all. just so proud of my brothers right now. >> when i spoke to coach right after game, he was emotional, giving you a big hug and saying how you're like a son to him. it was hard for him to suspend you. what does that mean for him to say those things? >> he's a good man. in his heart, he loves every one of us like his own. it really shows when he comes to talk to you. and speaks about the program. he loves this program more than anything in the world. almost like his own family. i'm just glad i got the chance to play for him for four years. he's a great man. >> go celebrate. enjoy. congratulations. >> thank you. i appreciate it. thank you. >> looking ahead now to the b.c.s. championship game between number two alabama and number one l.s.u. on january 9, it's the long-awaited rematch. can the tigers keep their perfect season alive, spencer?
