On the tracks, including the third rail, drain cleaning, replacing insulators and third rail covers. Now this comes at this hour as we are dealing with another problem outside of the stadiumarmory station. We arches that single tracking is impact we understand that single tracking is impacting riders on stretches of the system as a result of that. From a possible arcing insulator we understand crews are now responding to, to investigate. We have a crew sent to that as well. We reached out to metro on both issues. Michelle mask men head out with computer, ecooboards and more. This happened a weekend in april. Jonathan this is a school in decatur street northwest. Nearest school is barnard elementary school. Richard reeve is joining us trying to find out who the masked men are. Are they closer to catching who they are . Richard they are still looking. That is why they release the video. For a lot of us the school is enclave of safety. But this school was a target by the four mask thieves who struck in the middle of the night. They are still at large but they were caught on good Surveillance Video. Surveillance video show four figures dashing down the hall. Two suspects are wearing ski going from door to door almost as if taking inventory. From the end of the hallway they wheel out what appears to be a photo copier in its box. Another shows a man with computer parts, largesize monitors. Police say the thieves broke into the school through a glass door. This is a school rigged for security. There are gates outside. Fellow checking points once you get inside. But that is during the day. At night, they appear to roam the street freely and take what they want. All caught by surveillance camera. What do you think of the video . Its crazy. Outrageous. First and foremost trying to figure out how they got in the school. They have gates. They are locked. So unless they broke a window and went to the side, i know one of the doors over there glass. Curious to know how they got in. Richard there is a lot of glass in this building. We are told it was a glass door that the bad gu commenting so far. M. P. D. Say they hope certainly that the Surveillance Video will get somebody to try to find the guys. Jonathan it seems like they knew what they were looking for and went after the printer in the, bo. They are taking whatever they can that is valuable. They took some of the computer equipment. Including 12 First Responders in west texas. Jonathan that blast was Strong Enough to register on seismograph, the machines that track earthquakes. This was a 2. 1magnitude quake because of what the blast was. Michelle investigators say finding the cause was a process of elimination. The fire has been ruled as incendiary. This means this fire was a criminal a. T. F. Is offering a reward of up to 50,000 for the information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the crime. Michelle it took 400 interviews and more than three years of research. Much of it happening at the a. T. F. Lab in maryland. To come to the conclusion. I was this time yesterday that we were talking about the Severe Weather threat near louisville. Jonathan today we are getting the first images of how bad the storms were. They ripped through. Eight people injured. Home and buildings ripped to shreds. Everybody is expected to be okay. The second straight day of Severe Weather across the midsection of the country. All right. What would you do if you saw a pregnant woman walking into a bar . Michelle interesting development. You dont know if she is drinking and it seems like the recommend dayses on what so Alison Starling is here with us. Our nation biggest city is taking action here . Alison that is right. New york city is telling bars they cant deny a pregnant woman access. This policy has gone viral. Different opinions from all sides. Well have a little bit on that in a moment. But we explain the policy now. Baby bumps and booze . Mixing the two together. Taboo. Doctors recommend that women steer clear of alcohol for the entire nine months of pregnancy. The new York City Human Rights Commission weighing in. New guidelines unveiled say bars cant refuse to serve pregnant women alcohol. They should be allowed to enter anyplace of public accommodation in new york city that a nonpregnant woman would be able to enter. Reporter this is part of a larger effort to enhance and protect right of pregnant women. Particularly, in the workplace. The law that this guidance is based on was re on making sure that women who are pregnant, pregnancy are able to stay in the workplace and not be forced out on unpaid leave, not forced to lose out on economic job opportunities. Reporter cases that prompted the new guideline include pregnant woman denied access to a bar that her two nonpregnant friends were allowed to enter. Bouncers keeping her out because of her bump. Another where a pregnant woman was denied access to a concert venue because of her pregnancy. Many people up in arms about the new guidelines. Speaking out on message boards. If a women has to drink while she is pregnant, she is not fit to be a parent. Wrote one critic. N. Y. C. Has become a joke wrote another. The c. D. C. Warns against drinking while pregnant. Noting in guidelines earlier in year that no amount of alcohol during pregnancy no matter how small is advisable. And some 18 states consider the consumption of alcohol in pregnancy the equivalent o alison this makes me think about what happened here with the oman who had the breast milk and tried to go into a bar and told her, she couldnt bring it in with her. Everybody has an opinion about this. Pretty strong on all sides. Michelle mom who are carrying the baby feel like they ought to have their own say and others think its not a good idea. Half a glass of wine versus several drinks. There are many things to think about. We got mixed reviews like what we talk about here. Thank you. George Mason University officials are issuing an urgent warning about sextortion on campus. Two students were blackmailed over explicit video in the past week. Theyer with enticed to sen sexually explicit material who gained their trust online and then they threatened to circulate them if they didnt pay them money. This is a crime that former teen usa knows well. Why do you do that . Police say the incident at george mason are not isolated. The University Officials say the investigation is ongoing. Minivan driving all over the place jumping over medians and on the lawn. Backing up. Going the wrong way. Jumping curb and going on the grass. Michelle behind the wheel is a young man with the child in the van. The Police Called off the chase. The search for the mother continues. Reporter terrifying police chase caught in camera in springdale, ohio. The driver is a young mom accused of putting her childs life at risk in the minivan. The authorities are still on the hunt for the woman behind the wheel with a suspended license. The police dsh cam video captures the minivan speeding the wrong way against traffic. Watch as the minivan drivers backward on the street, maneuvers around the patrol cars and goes after lawn after lawn in the neighborhood. They confronted her in the parking lot. The woman locked herself in minivan and refused to let the child out before taking off. Police stopping the pursuit. It was getting dangerous. We terminated the pursuit for the childs safety and the publics safety. Michelle she is still on the run but they will find her. Jonathan she never hit another vehicle. Why would you do that . Many riders off of metro in the last few minutes telling me they were inconvenienced ten or 15 minutes by the single tracking as a result of the incident. A thank you came from admiral john richardson, the chief to have bill dawson here, one of the firsting frommen who evolved to the navy seals. Michelle in fairfax a new tax could make it even worse. Northern Virginia Bureau chief Jeff Goldberg explains the meal tax is just how much more are we talking jeff well, a 4 meal tax. In the neighborhood of 2 3 if the meal is 50 in that range. The old pub in great falls. You walk inside the pub, you know exactly what owner mike carney thinks of this meal tax. He fought the battle in 192 and will fight it again likely here in 2016. What we are talking about here is the 4 tax that could raise 90 million a year for fairfax county. The bulk of it will likely go to schools but other services as well. Quite possibly Affordable Housing being one of them and police and fire as well. It would all be on all prepared and food and drinks, anything from a sitdown dinner at restaurant or a bar to takeout from a Fast Food Restaurant or grocery store. We have spoken to both sides of the issue and both feel strong beginning be the opposition. I do think need money. But i think it should be a fair tax across the county as a whole. To everyone. Not just the people who choose to go out to eat. We think a meals tax is less of a burden. You make a choice to buy a meal. You make that choice you know you can afford it. Jeff certainly differing opinions on this subject. Here is what will happen. The board of supervisors will vote on the issue on june 7. They will talk about the wording and whether or not to put it on the ballot for november. Its likely to go to november. Then it will be up to the voters. That could possibly be a hard sell. Yesterday we introduced everyone to a warrenton native and a world class runner sarah brown and her journey to the olympics. Michelle where we left off with the story is finding out she was frying innocent despite having pregnant despite having an i. U. D. We have part two of the story of perseverance and driver. Decision time for sarah brown. We went to doctors office. I told them what my goals were and what we were planning. What do you think of that . He said why wouldnt you . Why wouldnt you keep training . Scott so for the next nine months she tackled the unknown. The goal was to come out on the other side and be able, Strong Enough to start training at the level i did need to be training at. March 4, a healthy perfectly healthy Abigail Brown arrived. From the moment i saw her, different love. Different emotion. I ran track at syracuse university. I have a good idea of what she has to go through for the training. Daily regimen. In the pregnancy, she averaged 40 to 45 miles per week. That is amazing. Now leading up to the economic trials in eugene, she is average leading up to the olympic trials in eugene she is averaging 30 miles a week. I have started getting faster and better. Scott the journey to olympics is never easy. Is it going to be more sweeter and special knowing what you have gone through . I hope to be able to feel that moment. Pursuing a dream happy family. They always ald vise women to exercise while pregnant but nothing like that. Alison incredible. She is lucky that her body allowed her to do that. Some women are so ill they cant get out of bed.
