And a second and a half before impact. A call from the cockpit for a goaround to circle the airport again. It was far too late. The jet crashes. The tail hitting first. The airline saying he was experienced on other aircraft, but just 43 hours training time on the 777. You know there are always going to be a first time for someone to land at a different airport. But they are very much focusing in on the pilots. They want to know about the captains experience. The first time he was landing a triple 7 here at this airport. Theyre also looking at pilot fatigue. Trying to find out just how much rest these pilots had before this flight. Theyre also looking at the wreckage. Going over each and every single one of the seats on board the flight. Trying to see exactly how the seats held up during the crash. Tahman, we are hearing so much about the heroes. Because thats what david was just telling us about. What about the survivors and other people who helped rescue them . Reporter just remarkable stories of heroism that we are displayed in the moments after the crash. We are hearing about what the Flight Attendants did. The lead Flight Attendant, actually in tears, helped to put out fire, fires that broke out. And also, carrying people on her back and getting them off of the plane. She was injured herself. But she didnt think twice about helping people to get off the plane. Just remarkable stories. You also asked diana about the victims. We know 37 people remain hospitalized. And those numbers are going down because there were more people who were still in the hospital. This one filmed by the Discovery Channel as well as actual deadly accidents have brought change to almost everything in the cabin. Airline seats used to crumple in a crash. These are the new seats built to withstand 16 gs, 16 times the force of gravity. The fabrics on the seats and many of the materials in the cabin are less flammable, given giving passengers a few more precious seconds to escape. But experts say there is more we can do. Adding airbags, Many Airlines have installed them in business and firstclass. But in economy, bracing is still one of the best ways to avoid injury. The back of the seat in front of you has the padding. There is a worry if airlines stuff in too many seats it is impossible to brace.
